SJAX wants to be a Knick

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/61345/20090828/jackson_wants_out_of_golden_state/

One of my favorite NBA players.

"I don't think I'll be a Warrior next year. I'm looking to leave," Jackson said.

Jackson said the Warriors have been made aware of his desire to be traded.

"I really can't get too much into it right now, but I'm just looking to go somewhere where I can go and win a championship," Jackson said.

Jackson listed the Cavs, any of the teams in Texas and the Knicks as his preferred destinations.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

This doesn't make any sense ... Knicks & Championship??? not in 2009.

Jax has been an excellent player. However,
-he is 31 years old;
-he has a contract for 4 more years and would affect our cap in 2010.

2009 = $7,650,000

2010 = $8,450,000

2011 = $9,260,000

2012 = $10,060,000 He will be 35 yrs old at the end of the season.

This is a long contract for an older player. Sounds like an Isiah move. Let's wait to get LBJ and then fill in rather than committing now to these types of players.

Unless we're trading JJ or Curry for him. Same impact in 2010, immediate help this year to make us more appealing, and a great second fiddle if we acquire a big name in 2010.

Stephen Jackson is, I think, one of the more underrated players out there.

I thought there was a year we could have had him for the MLE, but maybe that was a year we had a broken down Houston and hoped he'd return to form.

Won't happen unless they take Curry back, perhaps with Mobley as a $ offset. DW isn't gonna screw with his plan by taking on salary against the cap.

I would not trade Eddy Curry for Stephen Jackson.

I would rather retain Curry, let him expire in 2011, and go after another big FA.

Stephen Jackson? Come'on guys think this through.

Game Logs

This guy is yet another DRIBBLE DRIBBLE CHUCK player who sometimes puts up a decent game and usually puts up horrendous shooting games. Regardless of which he always alienates his teammates and destroys any flow to any game.

No THANKS.
