haha, you know, that's a pretty good list of horrible signings, and we had the top 3.

Curry is a trade, not a signing.

True that. Bottom line is he definitely has to live up to your signatures expectations.

Wallace earned his contract by being the most valueable player (In my opinion) on a championship Pistons squad, as well as being a defensive anchor. He has gone downhill since, but I at least understand why he got it.

Dampier is pretty bad, but at least he is on a winning Mavs team that has contended a little.

It doesnt matter what somebody has done before the contract is signed. If that were the case, then no contract would ever be a bad one. And even despite that, Wallace always had a rap as being a very limited player and a product of the Detroit system.

The Mavs were great before Dampier. He hasnt done jack for them and he is getting paid SUPERSTAR dollars. He's always been bad, he just had that one decent season in his contract year --- imagine that.

Wallace was to also be a "leader". Not the roid horse Starbury wearing Don King hair man he became. He was no. 5.

I think the Dampier could have been the worst cuz as the writer said he was singed with the money they could have used for nash!

BUt...........

The mavs went to the NBA finals with him as thier center. Sure he was not the MVP, but he did not bring the franchise to its knees.

Chicago at least thought even with Wallace it would elevate them. It kind of did as they did make the playoffs.

Jeffries did not bring the knicks to its knees. But combined with Eddy, Jerome and the max deal that came with Marbury certainly killed the franchise.

While not a player, take the 5 mil paid to the worst coach for a lame team in Larry Brown and your asking for a disaster. how far over the cap were were, how bad were were, how big a tax we paid!

Maybe the trifecta of those three signings equal one massive disaster than the three signings left to be evaluated on their own individual merits. I mean really, do you keep compounding your mistakes?

Im just looking at each deal in a vacuum.

We would much rather have Jeffries contract than Damps' contract.

And Wallace was just painful to watch.

And the same arguments used for Wallace and Damps and the like could be the same ones used for Marbury and such. We had initial success with Marbury and his talent justified the move at the time.

We had sucess with Marbury cuz even Marbury could make Van Horn look good!

Isiah was trying like hell to sign (and trade) for Dampier!!!!!

Only Cuban prevented him from getting 4 of the top 5!

I did not see anyone disputing Marburys max deal on the list.

Just talking about Marbury in general, not that he is necessarily on the list.

And i remember letting off a big sigh of relief when we didnt get Dampier. I was in the bay area when Damps was on Golden State. I knew first hand how god awful and lazy he was. Cant believe that a-hole got 73 million.

Damps would have gotten ate up here something serious making that kind of money.

Jj avg 17ppg and 9rbs...wow.I swear I didn't know it was that much..curry on the other hand is a complete joke, if he doesn't use this for motivation, there's nothing left to say.

Jeffries at least tries, but curry is a sad ass story, cause he has loads more talent. What a loser.
I remember eisly being the most over paid athlete in sports at one time..
This sht is to the point where there are time I bring up the knicks in a topic with the most avg fan, it's almost embarrassing..who would have ever thought we would sink so low for so long, until were almost irrelevant..

Raef LaFrentz was a pretty vomit inducing contract.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
