Here's the article in question: http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/61297/20090825/with_no_offer_from_knicks_sessions_to_new_york_looks_dead/ And with the way things are going with Hahn, this might confirm that Sessions will be a Knick by the end of the week. My saliva and spit can split thread into fiber and bits/ So trust me I'm as live as it gets.

This is taken from Hahn's blog, http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketball/knicks/the-knicks-fix-1.812055/clarifying-the-sessions-situation-1.1394580.
He doesn't say it's dead in that post. Just that there's a stalemate. |

Good. Why? Because he's over rated that's why. So over rated that his own team and 29 other teams don't even care he's alive.
We would have had another Jared Jeffries on our hands if we gave him a 5 year MLE like he wants. He wouldn't even be an upgrade over Duhon because he only does a handful of things better than Duhon and at the same time does a handful of things worse than Duhon. So what would be the point of signing Sessions? Other than to waste Toney Douglas I guess. I'd rather watch Douglas and see what he's got than watch Sessions brick anything beyond 12 feet and get torched on defense for the next five years. If we land LeBron our PG needs to be able to SHOOT THE BALL since LeBron likes to run the offense and kick the ball out to shooters. Imagine Sessions firing up 75 3pters a season at 16%? LOL no thanks. At least Duhon can hit a 3. So can Douglas. http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!

You know how Bip always says wait and see? This is why. Stop letting the papers string you along. You guys are like my old college buddy that loved this girl. She strung him along for 4 or 5 years. Every time he was ready to move on from her, she would do something to get him to come back again. Meanwhile she was sleeping with every dude on the planet.
Reporting is dead. Every article is based on rumors and "unnamed sources". When will we figure this out. I just hope that people will like me

There is no way the Knicks will sign Sessions. This week DOnnie is bringing in Andrew Toney, World B. Free, and Alex English. If none of them workout he will look at Sessions again

Why not offer a 1 year deal at say, 5mm?
Why? It blows away MIL's QO? Its more than MIL & LAC is likely willing to go. It makes 09-10 palatable to watch. It facilitates the development & marketability trade wise of all current Knicks (by virtue of having a player who makes others better & greatly reduces the times we see N8, Harrington, Chandler, friggin Hughes etc. in ISO situations while 4 other guys stand around and watch). |

Posted by Cosmic: Cosmic, I have to strongly agree with you regarding needing a shooting PG if Lebron is here. I really wanted Sessions, as I was hoping he could develop a shot but it looks like we won't be getting him unless we can unload Jeffries or Curry first. So, with recent comments by Lebron and the inaction with Sessions, one gets the impression that Bron is here. I think Walsh really wanted S. Curry in the draft cause of his shooting and potential as a pg. Rubio is just so young and you know his shot will develop but for a couple of years, he is on stand still. (Boy did Minny F'up, got greedy). So, Douglas does look like he can shoot and shoot well (not summer league, but his college career) and the question with him is can he be a distributor? I think IF Lebron is here most pg's who can shoot well will suffice. We are going to have to wait and see on Douglas driving and dishing as well as driving and scoring. (Both Sessions does great and think Douglas was a good finisher in college, anyone?) EMS The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. Albert Einstein

Posted by purple012870: I may be wrong but I don't think the Knicks can only offer him a 1-year deal -- at least as part of the MLE. I thought the minimum length on a the MLE was 2-years but not 100% positive on that. |

alan hahn has been downright irresponsible this offseason. diametrically opposing news breaks less than 24 hours apart. is he just a puppet voice or is he this unprofessional?

Hahn reports what he hears, if it contradicts so be it. He does admit errors and mistakes, he's not a MSG mouthpiece by any means.
