I hope the quality of research Mr. Briggs does on his stock picks is better and more extensive than the effort he made to verify the truth of a rumor he saw fit make into a thread.

Unless someone made up a false PR--here you go. This is not Magnum PI--I don't think detective work needs to go into a cut and paste.

Clippers Waive Mark Madsen

The Los Angeles Clippers today waived forward Mark Madsen.

Madsen was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves on July 22nd along with Sebastian Telfair and Craig Smith in exchange for Quentin Richardson.

The New York Knicks plan to workout Madsen on Tuesday with the thinking being he could shore up both the center and power forward positions, and provide insurance in the event the Knicks are unable to come to terms with restricted free agent David Lee.

"Mark could provide that blue collar veteran presence that every team needs," said Knicks president Donnie Walsh. "He's the kind of hard worker any coach would want coming off the bench. It's in our best interest to take a look and see if there's a fit," Walsh added.

Somebody, by the name of KNEMESIS, did... and admitted it later in the thread.

The ability to "cut and paste" does not have to go hand in hand with a cessation of both common sense and due dilligence.

Joseph Stalin, hinting at how easy it is to control the "truth," once said that "paper will accept anything that is written on it." Same is true on the "internets," unfortunately.


Who knows, maybe Walsh will think about Madsen as a potential cheerleader on the bench at some point this summer, but there are no legit sources so far which link Madsen to the Knicks- only the threads on RealGM and UK.
