A little off topic, but there's no Knicks news while the Don sleeps away the Summer anyway.

Why did Lance go to the Cinci Bearcats? What kind of move is that when he could have been the king of the city here in NY?

That makes St. John's look even worse that he didn't go to a top tier program. I could see going to Memphis instead of St. Johns, but he could have been a media darling before he even graduated if he went to St. John's.

Go to another NY area schools like Syracuse, UConn, Canisius, Manhattan, Providence..., I don't get Cinci. It tells me that he must have some red flags and only certain coaches would talk to him.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I think he commited back in July right? Cincy could surprise some people this season - Yancy Gates is still a little raw but has some nice potential to turn into a DeJuan Blair/Mike Sweetney type down low; their senior PG, Deonta Vaughn, has some experience now and kinda reminds me of a scoring lead guard in the Jerel McNeal mold and now they added Stephenson who could have an OJ Mayo-type impact as a perimeter player & slasher. Have to see how it all jells but that's a nice big three right there. The Bearcats could be scary.

Should be an odd season for the Big East. Syracuse and UConn should be down and Louisville has the whole Pitino thing to deal with. It seems more up for grabs than it has been for a long time. I still don't think Monroe can dominate for GTown, but if they have other players he can make them better.

I'm a husky so I'm biased but I think Uconn should be solid. If there players progress they are top 20 at worst. They have a good trio in Dyson, Walker and Robinson but none of them are proven leaders and there are question marks with the rest of the squad. If Robinson plays like he did in the tournament they will be back in the mix. It should be interesting.

personally I like Nova and West Virginia. I think those two squads will be tough. I think Louisville and Gtown will bein the mix too. I'm with you, I'm not high on MOnroe because of his on court demeanor, but he definitely has the talent. Next year you will be able to see if that is really who he is, or if he was just a freshman trying to find his way.

I'm a huge Walker fan. He'll win them enough games to be in the mix.

Rautins is going to be the leader on that squad unless Boeheim comes up with a crazy recruit.

Rautins, Jackson, Ongenot, Onuaku, Triche

They'll win their share, but I can't see a huge year for the 'Cuse.

I don't follow ST. Johns that much anymore, but bringing in a player like that while your trying to rebuild a program is tough. He is likly trying to be just a one year player and to get him you have to either do one of two things: Put him on a very good team where they will succeed and he is a part of it showingcasing his potential or make him the focal point of the team and let him shoot like crazy. The latter is nice if it works but a disaster in most situations. The team does not win much with a ball hog and his lack of leadership at the higher level is given not earned. You can lose your team. Also you threw your other players under the bus for him.

Cincy is big east and can be top tier.

This is off-topic, a little, too, but what's wrong with his eyes?

I had a friend once, we call him Pollo (spanish for Chicken), and he had a bug eye, always beefed, and never got any chicks.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I think there was a little under the table action going on.
Only a few colleges have been caught but the majority of the colleges do it IMO.

I take this back. He can't have Marbury in him, he's gay. Stevenson just fondles 16 yr old girls.

Good article Dr.A. It says St.Johns rescinded its scholarship due to his potential problems. Hope he doesn't screw up at Cinncinati.
