You would think that if Minny were going to do a deal that would send Rubio to NY it would have had the perfect cover in the Favre signing by the Vikes, right?

Unless another team is involved and we're sending a big ticket player to Minny, I don't think a Rubio trade is happening.

Oh well... another one bites the dust.

This offsesson is going down the toilet and its taking the fans with it. Wow, the thread topics keep getting worse. WTF does Favre have to do with Rubio?

Donnie is doing his job being patient, but that is making fans really lose it!!

Just saying... if you were Kahn and you were going to trade Rubio in a couple of days, wouldn't you try to bury a bad PR move like that during the Favre signing?

The one possibility that nobody's considering is that we could trade for Flynn.

If Kahn can reel in Rubio, a Hill and cap relief for Flynn or something along those lines could match.

Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong, but I don't see what one has to do with the other.

You have to remember, however, that there's another party on the other end of the table. That's IF there's even a table to begin with. What he's offering to donnie or whatever other GMs could be totally out of line, or vice versa. Donnie or whatever other GMs could be offering Kahn the most ridiculous trade proposals. Again, that's if there even are talks.

Sometimes, these trades take MONTHS to make complete. There's no way you can wake up and say "HEY!! Brett Farve just signed! It's time to trade Rubio!!!"

Again, I say, what does Farve have to do with this? If anything, after a trade has been made, don't you want it to be during a time when not much is going on so that the attention is on you, so you can spread that hype around. Afterall, GMs should be very confident that any trade they make is good for their team, right?

I think Farve did Kahn a favor by returning to football to keep the lack of news from being a story about a non story.

what a crap headline. Of course if Kahn is in spain the probability goes up cuz they are talking!!!! And if Donnie is in Spain the probability of him getting traded go up.

If Pat Riley enters the room the odds of him going to miami go up.

He gives Rubio a Piece of chicken the odds of rubio choking on a bone eating it goes up.
if Riley knows the Himlich manuver, the odds of saving rubio goe up, and the odds of him doing anything goes up.

Unless then If Riley pulls out a gun and removes the safety the the odds of him not playing in Minny do fall again.

I don't know if any the above happened, but its crap.

It can still be done when Favre plays his first game...that will be more of a storm than this.

I hope NY is still involved and that Rubio comes but if not, sign Sessions already, trade JJ and let's get onto this season.

I honestly don't think they drafted Rubio to trade him. They actually believe a Flynn/Rubio backcourt can work. I personally don't and believe Minny will be looking to trade one or the other by next summer. I don't see the Knicks getting Rubio, especially without a draft pick in next year's draft.

I think it will be a 3 team trade if there even is a trade at all.
Donnie has plenty friends in the business that would be more than willing to help.
The money in the deal is not that big so all 3 teams could make it work rather easily.
I personally feel Kahn will trade Rubio.

1. Kahn was embarrased when RR didn't show up at the press conference.
2. RR hasn't even visited the city twice..I think he went once and gave a nice PR comment about how he's warming up to the idea or some crap.
3. Kahn knows he has to have something on the floor THIS YEAR whether it's RR or other players he trades RR for. When you trade away 2 players like Mike Miller and Foye...you don't have 3 years to waist. Yes that's right...if Rubio plays 2 years in Spain...he wouldn't be able to come back to the league until 2012-2013. He has to sit out one year after his last year of playing for another team. He could also re enter the draft next year but I doubt he would do that because then he wouldn't be able to play ball this year. Is Donnie in Spain also? I think I read that above.
