i wonder if that's order of preference, too?

charlotte, miami, knicks in third.

i still say if they want to make the playoffs next season adding iverson makes a lot of sense.

duhon/toney
iverson/nate
chandler/gallo
dlee/al harrington
darko/jhill

that's a 42 win playoff team.

screw that. We have a clean shot at Sessions for a year (or two with team option). And there may be legs to the Rubio rumors. We won't do shyte on AI unless it's a last resort, and then only for 1 year (which will be his last resort, too).

I agree with you. I may not be Iverson's biggest fan, however I do recognize that he is our best hope at a playoff spot, which is something we need 2 fold. #1 is to ,keep Utah from cashing in on our pick and #2 is to look attractive to 2010 free agents !! That overrides any personal issues with Iverson's attitude !!

forget utah. that's done. there is nothing we can do about it.

but making the playoffs is pretty damn important. and iverson is like a mini audition for what it would look like to have a superstar in NYC. think about what happens if the knicks rehabilitate iverson's image from borderline journey man to all-star again???

and if iverson is starting at SG in NY he will make the all-star game on the fan vote and start. you want to start recruiting lebron for next season, start by putting the knicks on the map with iverson. kidd would have been nice, but iverson is very similar in legitimacy, i'd say.

sessions is not a difference maker YET. he COULD be. he COULD be. given the choice between sessions and iverson...

His best bet is the Cats. He wouldn't fit here and I doubt he'd mesh with the Flash who's a bit of a ballhog himself.

AI is still a good player and I gotta say that on a one year deal, I'd do that. In any other situation, I'd say no but he can make the team relevant again to the Nation, which is something we're gonna need heading into 2010.

why is there so much Allen Iverson Hate????? Its crazy, he is exactly what the Knicks need to save face. You want a strong playoff push... while saving money for 2010. GET THE ANSWER.

I like Ramon Sessions too, but he is clearly not a priority for Walsh either...else we would've offered a MAX MLE deal instead of trying to low ball the guy.

The only reason I would sign Iverson is to make the playoffs and avoid giving Utah a lottery pick. However, I would still think long and hard about it.

I would totally sign Iverson to a 1-year in the hopes of getting to the playoffs or close to them - negatively impacting our draft pick that we gave away.

I would also like to nab Rubio or Sessions - but we will have to see how it all pans out.

If Ivy plays well, then thats another expiring chip to play at the trade deadline. If Rondo, Nelson or Mo gets hurt in the mits of a Boston, Orlando or Cavs push for best record, would they take Ivy for a 2010 1st rd pick ??? HELL YES !!

Iverson puts the Knicks in the playoffs. Knicks only have the mid-level to offer though.

If I was the Knicks I'd go in right now...secure enough for one player in 2010. Iverson, sessions, david and Nate get the Knicks in the playoffs...there will be plenty of trade options along the way....but that talent with D'antoni coaching makes the playoffs guarenteed!!!

Iverson doesn't get the team to the playoffs. Iverson at this point is no better than Nate. And Nate is just a ballhog scorer..but at least he has a better attitude(not to be mistaken for the fact that he's a clown).
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Yeah, Iverson barely got the Pistons to the playoffs with 39 wins!

Iverson didn't hardly play for the Pistons - they didn't want him. They were a mess last year.

Iverson took Philly to the title game by him self. He helped take Denver to the playoffs and if you say he failed in Denver, them you must give Melo equal credit in not delivering a title.

dont agree. AI failed in Denver compared to what Billups accomplished. Melo not delievering a title has nothing to do with AI and his time there.
