If he is in Spain then the RUbio thing is legit and might have some wheels.

If he is at starbucks chainsmoking its Toro Shoyt.

WE know the Kahn Man is in Spain.

Rickey might be riding the bench as his team got two guards they are paying more than Rickio, and they just might be into teaching the kid a lesson.

Put it all together and the intrigue is all there. Donnie wants a pg but won't do one until we clear more space, so Sessons not getting done until. The Rubio thing is not entirley put to bed as Kahn is still trying to do somting. If resigned to let him play in spain then why he back there again? Rickey can't get big big money in Barcelona or Madrid to pay off his Jovenut deal, and I guess the endorsement opportunities are not big enough in Just Europe alone. Playing for two years @ 92k a year is like playing for 3mil a year cuz his buyout is 6mil and not really negotiable. If the godfather is really there he can negotiate a knick preseason presence over the next few years playing Spanish teams which could bring some nice reveune as part of a buy out.

Where is, or where was the Godfather the last few days?

Uncanny.

But it seems that Donnie is the Big Kahuna around the league and he has sent Kahn over to work on a Rubio deal in Spain.

Donnie passed out on his couch - with leftover Italian sub to his left, NY Post in his lap, reading glasses hanging from his shirt & General Hospital on the tube.

All I know is that this has been the least entertaining off-season of the past five years. Walsh better have a good trade or signing coming before the beginning of the season to justify this boredom.

I prefer he continue with his current MO: Making smart choices. I don't care if you fall asleep for the rest of the summer and into October. Any move that messes with the plan is garbage and fit only for a panicky loser like Isaiah. DW will bring this team back, even if it takes 3 more years. I am sick of the NYK being driven out of contention by off-season impatience.

Get some drugs or whatever you can find to alleviate your boredom. Maybe stop reading UK for a few weeks, delete your RealGM bookmark, and go outside to play some hoops. Something is happening here, and I don't what it is...but I am willing to wait for it, even if it's not a big splash.

My objective: contention by 2011.

I am only half-joking. I want Walsh to make smart moves, even if it leads to a boring summer. I, however, do think he needs to move on Sessions. The only justification I see for holding out on Sessions is if we really are still trying to get Rubio. But I am not sure what we have that the Timberwolves would want for Rubio. The T-wolves need a SG and a SF. Thus, Chandler or Gallo are the only players at a position of need for them, unless they are interested in Harrington, which is possible. I would hate to lose Chandler, because he is the only young player we have that seems willing to play on both ends of the court. If it meant getting Rubio, I guess it is a chance you have to take, but that is putting alot of pressure on Gallo to step up and play big minutes at the SF spot.

I agree with you. And I am sure Gallo is up to whatever task is laid before him. I also happen to be a huge fan of The Mayor, and want him to be a part of the plan moving forward. But I think Rubio will be special, and as far as I am concerned, only Gallo is off-limits in pursuit of the Spaniard.

If we don't have a deal in the works for Rubio by the end of this week, I would be fine with moving on Sessions. BTW, the issue with Sessions seems to be flexibility. If the cap doesn't go way down, we could be in a position to offer two max contracts next summer, and then resign our own guys for whatever and deal with the LT implications. That would be amazing as it would deal with any lingering issues LBJ has with our ability to quickly become contenders.

But if we can't get Rubio, I say grab Sessions, keep trying to dump BurgerBoy and FishLips, and get our second max guy in 2011. I think Sessions will develop into a terrific starter at the 1 spot within the next couple years.
