Granted they were awful. Really bad. But no fan who's been following them at all closely could have expected more than 1 win from the trip ... maybe hoped for 2. They are overmatched against those teams even when they're not traveling, tired, and playing 4 games in 5 nights ... or whatever it was.

Who were their weakest opponents on the trip? Golden State, Utah? They'd be among the top 3 or 4 teams in the East.

I still foresee the Knicks sliding into the playoffs and missing a lottery pick. Then I and most of the rest of us will be rooting like mad for them ... and fuming while wondering what could have been if they could just hold on to the ball as they go down in 4 to the 1 or 2 seed in the East. Just hope it's not the Nets.

Dude Utah is a good team. We had a better chance against Seattle, Portland and Golden State.

What is disturbing about the Knicks is not so much the trip out west but the fact that they don't hold the home court well. Even the home games end up going to the wire on most occasions. That in itself is a victory for the away team, if you can keep it close against the Knicks at home than the chance for victory has increased 10 folds. Good teams usually blow other teams out at home or atleast win by a good margin. But the Knicks if they win it by a few points and when they lose its by a few points that means they aren't able to put teams away.

the road trip hurt them, but i still say they will make the playoffs. The knicks wanted to win only 2 out of the 5 anyway.

Make the playoffs by a fluke and gain what? A first round knockout? More excuses? Please. All we'd get is another 2-3 years of this same dysfunctional management and rosters. No thanks.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Nah,u mean don't make the playoffs for a 3rd yr. in a row and hear the same ****.Knicks made moves this past summer to make the playoffs,if thats the case then they should have stood with Spree. Why play that losing role to draft n get a bust.might as well play ur @$$ of make the playoff n still end up with a good pick or just trade for some talent to make the playoffs n for the future like Miles n Davis.

If we miss the playoffs, we'll get a better pick. We will see the end of the Chaney (and hopefully LayDown) era.

We went 0-5 on a road trip for the first time since 1985. We are going from bad to worse. If the playoffs are more a priority this year than last, and we are doing worse now, what does that tell you about the NYK management??? You want those idiots to stay in place?

Consider the alternative. If the knicks even accidently make the playoffs we are screwed. That will give management an opportunity to say that the team has improved and stay in power. If the knicks lose miserably and dont make the playoffs not only does the management leave without a question, we get a good player in return.

I'm not saying that draft picks will save us. i'm saying that they are the best alternative.

My point exactly.

The East is weak. I think we have a chance to make the playoffs. Will that be good? I don't think so. No college player stands out right now that can help the Knicks.

i understand how you want the knicks to do bad this year to be better in later years. but when you sit down and watch the games do you actually root against the knicks? i want the knicks to win as many games as they can. i never want to see them lose. I wouldnt watch them if i wanted them to lose, never mind post stuff on the internet about them

Hey man, I want the Knicks to win ever night. But I also want the KNICKS to win a Championship. That's what we all want. RINGS and more RINGS, Hell even a build DYNASTY. Can they do that now? Can they beat the Lakers? NO NO NO

The Lakers are relly good this year. I hate 'em, but they've got a good team. The officials like them too.

Great point, if some fans want them to lose why would they watch them?
