hopefully we will continue to spiral down and WE become sellers in the market looking for ending contracts and draft picks. IMO--guys like KVH and even Mcdyess should be put up at market.

the team has to take some calculated risks trading off some vets for young unproven guys like Ron Murray for example and draft picks if we can get them.

What the Knicks needed was Nene last year, and Lebron this year.

we will never get a high pick and which ever pick we get he wont get playing time. Haven't we learned this already?

Sooo true. I remember thinking this draft was a begining of the Knicks building a foundation, I thought Lampe and Sweetney would be starting in January and Milos would come back next year to lead the knicks to a Championship!

Whatever happened to Light the Lampe?

Silver,

Perhaps Laydog is doing what was done in Utah, a sneaky stealth rebuild while nobody is looking, or expects it. Lose two hall of famers and do this will, in that conference is awsome.

If we gonna go the Utah route, lets get Sloans top general, Phil Johnson!

We can show Dice, KT, Ward, the door at years end.

We have ending contracts that need to just end!

I would believe in Layden and think this is a re-occurance of Utah if I saw something promising. Until then I have to believe that Layden is terrible and Chaney is even worse.

The most aggravating part is that this is a good roster. McDyess, Van Horn, Allan Houston, KT and Deke are all decent players. There is no way we should be 9000 games under .500!

If we are lucky, this exact team will be transfered to another coach soon. The last thing they need is some dumba*s trade they are forced to make because they are in panic mode.

Sweetney was a garbage pick. Unless he completely remakes his game and body, then maybe he has the upside of Malik Rose. Lampe was the pick that will make impact three years down the road.

the death spiral aint over yet. it will continue until fans lose hope and stop watching this horrible team. ticket sales will fall further and people won't even watch the knicks on MSG.

things will get worse - much, much worse.

We can get draft picks if we can somehow trade some of the (moveable)bad contracts (Eisley, Spoon, Othella, KVH). Aside from that, BOTH the coach and GM gotta be kicked to the curb.

I'd rather see the next GM make those decisions. LayDown got the vote of No Confidence a long time ago.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Shandon Anderson! Bad bad contract!! He is not a good player. He is the best scrub we have right now but he should not be making 8M a year till 2007! Takes up a crazy amount of cap space. Not at all worth the money.

I feel what you are saying, Silver...
But Shandon is the most reliable and consistent out of all the mediocre players on the roster. First things first.
