This season is turning very dissapointing. I like Don Chaney, good man. But this is a business, and the business is not working.

This roster can do much better, and blame should lie on the coach this time.

I would let one of the assistants run it for the balance of the year.

I don't think it makes sense to start any big trades unless it follows the goal of rebuilding.

KT, Doleac, Dice, Ward.......about 23 million falls off the books.
Sign and trade for Kobe? Perhaps a 3rd team can get involved, like Orlando, but if the lakes want sombody, and a team wants to dump salary, we have players that can dump.

This is late season activity, or off season. We are not paying 3 rooks to not play. THey could have been delt by now, or released.

I think we dump chaney and see if this roster can be salvaged. If not, this roster is done. Mutumbo is tradeable with his more reasonable contract also. It may be time to dump and run, and time to draft a Messiah, the Savior,...............The one.

Utah was planning for the day stockton and malone left. Very Sneaky!
Lets hope our Utah Laydog is doing similar. There is hope with a rebuild, where there is little in the present.

No sense lamenting about the past, its just about what is the team going to do to deplete its roster, let the kids back in, how do they draft, and is Vujanic our point. Can the team buy out one of Eisley and FatSpoon in off season? Can we get that draft pick?

Then hire the right coach for that team. Rivers really did mess himself up in orlando. I know Starks, collins are not legit picks. ITs more like ABC, "Anybody-But-Chaney" these days, but those are not the guys for this team.

Agree with everything. Especially "makes sense to start any big trades unless it follows the goal of rebuilding."

That was my biggest problem in the Mo Pete trade.

Mopete is a small commitment. I think his deal ends this year, and Harrington has this and one more year. Mopete would be fine.

It seems Anderson can do the job. SOmetimes easier to get an existing player to step up than blend in a streaky player whom knows they are not laying roots.

Grass is always greener. I Understand the frustration of wanting trades as other players seem better than ours.

I actually think this roster is very capable. Layden now has the tough job of installing a sense of urgency in getting chaney to make some changes, or get him out of the way and let someone else do it.

Layden has had 3 years to instill that sense of urgency and has failed miserably. He hasn't goten the job done in the past and cannot in the future. Whatever the reason be, Layden and Chaney are obviously not the people for the job and should be fired. There is no other way around it.

The main problem is the ownership that has its own dellusions of a Knicks team. The reforming should start at the top.

Its tough in reality to buy this team and areana.

Its might be even tougher to balance the ideal of servicing the note used to purchase the team while spending enough to win. Becareful what you wish for.

Cablevision at least will spend money. Even foolishly.

Best chance we have is for Layden to have changed the philosphy last year and thinking about rebuilding.

NY Post mentions Jerry Sloans assistant Phil Johnson as a person whom Laydog is fond of. We'll never get Sloan, but his architect of the pick and roll system might be a good choice. I am surprised Sloan did not retire, and Johnson may have been promised his job.

Jazz might not win a championship, but they are always in the hunt and entertaining. This new team is a good example of a successful sysytem in place.

The coruption may be Laydog trying to replicate that team but with unlimited funds, may deviate the plan.

Vujanic!

Shandon Anderson is a very average player. He is flourishing because defenses don't expect him to do much and Chaney runs play's thru him. Once the defenses catch on, his limited skill won't get him to far. I think management has found that out and dont expect much from him anymore.

IMO Shandon Anderson is one of the worst players we have had in a long long time. He has improved his play tremendously of late so I cannot criticize him but I haven't changed my opinion yet. If he can put up 12 pts 6 rebs and 5 assists consistently, I will change really believe in his ability.
