LOL. Yeah Bruney was the most frustrating pitcher. That near-HR he gave up that died right at the warning track almost gave me a heart attack.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

that was amazing.

but hinske has been a great acquisition for us - 2 walks and a near game winner.

melky within 1 inch of winning it.

damon's bunting was not good.

this is a different yankee team - they will come back on you...they don't care what the score is...

OMHFG! What an amazing, exhausting, classic game! I still have a stomachache because of the tension that this game gave me! Freaking WOW! Still can't sleep!

They have a swagger about them this year...I think the clubhouse is looser. Guys are becoming fans of each other and having a great time. To see the guys smiling and yucking it up in the dugout brings back alot of memories.

I definitely think they are more of a team than they have been in recent years and it makes them a lot more fun to watch - the off season additions have really helped in that dept as well as on the field.

You see Joba cheering his teammates on?

I don't know how I managed it, but I think I found a way to watch just about that entire game. Maybe I missed just part of the first inning.

Great job by the Yanks and especially a great job by Burnett. He gave us everything we need. Honestly, I thought that was a good job by Bruney too. He got in trouble and got right out and his inning before that was a thing of beauty.

the real hero IMO was AJ.

The Yanks have been owned by Beckett since he mowed them down in game 6 in the WS with the Marlins (I was there.. it was brutal).

He's an absolute Yankee killer.. probably the worst right now. AJ went out and matched zero for zero until it was up the bullpen. Yanks have been waiting for years for someone to do that against Beckett. I hate that DBAG

I was there too - it was awful - hopefully this season will put memories of that and the loss to the D-backs to rest.

I fell asleep after the 12th. I mean, enough is enough at that point. Watching 5 hours just to see a 1 second HR win it just isn't worth it in the end. They can cite a classic, a pitchers duel, all this crap. In the end it was 5 hours of ineptitude followed by one hit in a single game out of 162. No wonder I stopped following this game. I feel bad for those who go to the game and have to put up with that.

If some people are going to the game just to see the hits I reallyyy feel bad for them...

I would guess Deer Park - looks like the industrial area over there.
