I think Donnie is meeting with Stackhouse and Williams just to buy time and cover while waiting out Sessions, Lee and Nate.
As long as he's meeting with NBA geriatrics he has excuses not to move forward on the Lee and Nate deals.

Its my own fault for all this constant checking i do. August is traditionally the quiet calm month. Nothing much happens in september either except for the NFL starting up. There won't be solid basketball talk for another two months.

Maybe I should start to pay attention to the Yankee season.
Maybe tonight is a good night for that.

yankees are having a great season right so far. no telling where it will go but you can't get a bigger series than this one.

I got great seats lined up for tomorrow night's game...WOOT! Rich friend is springing, too. I am stoked.

baseball is a very boring sport...to those that have a 3rd grade reading level...

When I came to US and first saw baseball game I was wondering why it is soooooooo boring.
But then my coworker explained to me that this is not about the action on the field; it's about beer, hot-dogs, popcorn, girlfriend, sport memorabilia, bidding, get drunk, get all this office sh..t and your boring wife out of you head.
Then I watched it again and... it is pretty decent game.

the only sports events that are better to get Allanfan'ed at and/or bring a lady friend with are The Kentucky Derby and a big prize fight... the only reason those work with the ladies is because of the decades and decades long tradition of getting dressed up. nostalgia works for gettin your drink on and the lady actually having fun at a sporting event

In a sense all sports are boring until you focus in on them. You have to feel comfortable with basically spending 2-4 hours of your life watching a little drama unfold.

When you're following an interesting team, it can be very engrossing. I was never much into football, but I was living in the Bay Area in 1984-85, and I watched every 49er's game - they went 15-1 on their way to winning the Super Bowl. It was great. I can remember watching the Lakers & Celtics NBA Championship games. Those were always fun. Or John McEnroe vs Jimmy Connors in Tennis.

There have also been times where I've totally ignored sports.

I also found the Knicks rivalry with Miami in the late 90's interesting. The Knicks 99 run was fun.

For me, there has to be more than just guys playing sports. I need a bigger story. That's why I've totally lost interest in the Knicks basically ever since Ewing left.
