God it didnt take a rocket scientist to figure it out when the guy didnt have a tatter for the first 50 games this year--although he has come on in the dept and his Y_Y stats fell off the table in the last 2 years--he is getting older but it's darn obvious without even knowing the info we found out today. Im beginning to suspect David Wright and his 6 HR's

I think that Pujols was probably on HGH.

And yup, David Wright's plight is very interesting.

The thing with David is the rest of his numbers--doubles BA SB are on par with what he has done. He's going to hit well over .300 he's going top have 40 doubles hes going to steal 30 bases but his HRs numbers are just dramatically off which also effect RBI total. He's always looked physically the same--and certainly when you move the fences back--there can be a psychological factor especially for a baseball player who might alter his swing just a tad--we don't know but going from 30+ to what might end up as 10-12 is a big drop

Especially true if his away numbers are down also.

Is it possible that he has completely altered his swing to keep himself from hitting warning track balls all the time in Citi, and does not adjust for the away parks because it would really throw him off.

...And why would his decline begin this year? How long have they been doing random testing?

Conspiracy theory alert:

Is Albert being protected so that at least one player from the steroid era can appear to be naturally great?

He's like 27 and bald. Wears like a size 9 3/4ths size hat with a forehead you could land a plane on. His arms look like Brock Lesnor's. Personality wise, by all accounts a nice, controversy free guy who is the face of a franchise that is considered one of the best and most loyal sports towns. Hmmm.

Albert goes down...damn. Naw, cant happen. They'll let him hit his sixty to save face and say "see".

I'm a big time Yankee hater, but I was really looking forward to the day when A-Rod, the additive free superstar, would break Bonds' HR record. Now I don't even have that.

Pujols is in that same category I once put A-Rod in, except he seems like a nicer guy, but I think that he is on something, too. Hope to hell I am wrong, but...

Nah- just a great athlete and character who would have been in some top ten lists if not for the issue ("institutionalized" by the major leagues until Robinson) that Obama, the cop, and the Dr. are having some beers over today.

funny to see as i stated in a previous thread when a-rod was revealed to have "juiced" that in today's ny times there is a quote by schilling which basically says exactly what i said...

which is:

"Every team going back 10-15 years needs an * if you want to consider giving it to anyone...”

these are schillings words.

i believe some here were suggesting i was crazy to say this.
