This stock has extreme risk associated with it. This is very high risk--reward. Remember that I can and will get 1 wrong--this may not be one for the faint of heart. It's .60C for a reason. If it pulls out of this hole--then you could have a 10-20 stock in 2-4 years but this can go to zero quickly.

Good to add this disclaimer as your on a hot streak and that tends to make one a bit bolder. Yes, bolder but usually with recent profits and thats not a bad thing.

Like VNDA, there is a scenario that plays out. I'd be curious to read what that COULD be. Generally these are not my type of stocks. I passed on VNDA, but also pass on dozens that go belly up (not talking 'bout briggs). Its like playing cards, you gotta stay at the table and take your lumps with the good ones. Maybe in the end you avg market returns.

But if your a master of the universe and stay on it like perhaps mr. Briggy does then you can gain advantage. Hard work, not luck is how its done. In any event I appreciate Briggs you sharing with us and I just want to pass along that and to others that they must decide what fits in their portfolio.

Out @ .53 took the 5k hit. One would never imagine the possibility that the government would let a bank crater with nearly 400 branches and a tremendous amount of FDIC insured money. I knew going into this that the bank needed an infusion of capital and a deal that was supposed to bring in nearly a half a billion in private capital fell apart Friday. With that knowledge I felt that the fundamentals of the investment have changed and the risk associated with it now makes no sense. If this deal came together it would be trading at 3-4 today and would start a long journey back to 15-20 over time--didnt happen. Upside on the trade was potential 7 figures downside was the roughly 30 grand I put in.

Thanks for updating us. You are quite good. It is refreshing to see someone on a message board dealing with finances say that their stock pick went down, they lost some money, and got out. Most never tell you they ever lost money-too much of an ego thing. You have been very upfront.

I am in GSIT and OGOI - have made a little money and feel good about the stocks and your honesty and intelligence. And how you like to take calculated chances. Thanks.

This was a two way street. This bank might be too big too fail like I thought--I kept asking myself how are they going to bankrupt a bank with nearly 400 branches? That would put a tremor in the economy. I ended up buying 35k back at .58--if I lose it I lose it but Im going to stick with my original gut.
