Many reports are saying Marcus Camby will start practice and be ready soon regardless of what the doctors say. He is getting re-evaluated today so let's pray it's all good news. I don't care if he doesn't play in any pre-season games as long as he's ready for the season opener. Hopefully things will go well today when he gets checked and tomorrow when he will supposibly start practicing. Thoughts?

I don't like the fact that Camby has been saying he would play regardless of how his foot is 100%. I don't want to see another Glen Rice situation where some games he can play and some he cannot resulting in a seriously damaged team chemistry. I'd rather have hime sit out a bunch of games in the beginning and be ready and 100% for the remaining games in the season.

This is true, but let's just hope he can get to 100 percent as quickly as possible. His foot is said to be around 80 percent which is nothing to be disappointed about. I'm just glad they got control of his problem early enough unlike former Knick Glen Rice.

Didn't Rice have plantar fasciitis before he came to the Knicks? It's been bugging him for quite awhile now so let's hope the doctor's appointment with Camby goes well today.

Yes...good luck to the Cambyman!

I feel sorry for the big guy, he does not deserve all these injuries and problems. Especially this preseason, after adding 15 pounds of muscle, he just wants to get out there and play!

As long as they solve the problem now, he should have no problem during the season. This is just another bad break for Camby and the Knicks, but we've seen worse. I expect him to be ready for the start of the season. Until then, keep him out of the pre-season games and maybe do some light practicing to stay on top of things.

Well, good news in todays articles about Camby. Maybe we can actually see him for more than 6 minutes in tonights game. I'm still worried that he told the doctors he didn't feel any pain just so he could get back to playing.

A few of the articles said he probably wouldn't play any of the remaining pre-season games, but would be ready for regular season game 1. This is good and i don't care how many pre-season games he misses(even though there's only two left), but as long as he's set for the regular season.

Also, Jeff Van Gundy said today and was expanding his rotation to 9 men which means Othella will be primary back-up to Camby. The bad news is Van Gundy stated Harrington, who is listed as 6-9, 235, is closer to about 6-6 or 6-61/2, 225. Still, we've heard a lot of good news today and hopefully it will pay off. Knick vs. Jazz tonight on MSG.

I would rather see KT at backup Center, than have Harrington play there. When Camby is out, slide KT to Center, Harrington to PF. Also give them stretches of Camby and Harrington/Weatherspoon to let KT rest and keep the fouls down. When Camby is out, Spencer "For hire" or KT need to man the Center position.

I will agree that Thomas is our best post defender and the biggest of our forwards, but Harrington is our best post player while Thomas likes to face the basket on offense. To me, personally, it's up in the air which one i would have play center.

What's all this talk about Othella being only 6'6", is this for real or are the NY reporters making us even smaller then we already are?
