According to a variety of sources, the New York Knicks are in serious talks with Bucks point guard Ramon Sessions. Sources say that the Knicks are prepared to offer Sessions a five year deal worth about $5.8 million in the first season.

If Milwaukee doesn't match that offer, it would appear that first round pick Brandon Jennings would be the starting point guard. Luke Ridnour could also fill the starting role.

A little surprised that the Bucks wouldnt match an MLE deal for a rising, young player like Sessions. I'm still down tho, Sess should beast in D'Antoni's system.

Um....wasn't this reported 2 or 3 days ago, and since it said the Knicks gave up on Sessions....Does Wisconsin get it's news by cow?

well it is the hometown paper for Sessions' team. You'd think they have the newest info. I think this would be great and Kidd's and Hill's rejections of our offers would be blessings in disguise.

if this happens, it's a big FU to nate rob and d lee.

also, bad move in my opinion by walsh - I think no one should be signed for longer than 3 years other than a superstar.

The Bucks won't match because a 5 year deal is too long and they have Jennings. Plus they are trying to save money right now. They got rid of RJ for nothing. I like Sessions but I don't know about a 5 year deal. If things do not work that is a lot of years to give him for having one good year.

Technically it's 2 since he showed promised in the latter part of his rookie season when he actually got to play.

I don't even count that because Sessions was not successful until last year. His first year he only played 17 games. I don't count Chandler's first year as a Knick, and just like Chandler I won't count Sessions first year as a Buck.

Love Sessions game. He can really flourish in this system. Sessions game is predicated on getting into the lane and collapsing the D. Not only will he kick it out for open looks but will feed the interior as well. He also gets to the line.

5 yrs is a bit much though. Would be great if there is some sort of sign and trade with Mil.

i don't think 5 yrs is too much. he's 23. if he's on the 2010 cap who cares how long the deal runs? most likely we'll be able to trade him next year if we decide it's not a fit. he's very very good. i'd be shocked if we got him. he's perfect for d'antoni.

nobody's worried that he put up big #'s on a crap team? you sure it wasn't just a contract year push? you prepared to take a $6+ mil hit to the cap next year for him? what if paul is available via trade? then what?

it could be. the contract was a risk that colangelo is taking. but i find it very hypocritcal for knicks fans to talk about lee not helping a team win when a player with the ball in his hands for most of the game couldn't help his either.

I like Session and I wrote that the Knicks should go after him in May. However, A 5 year deal is long. If things don't work out we will be the same Knicks saying,"Dam, I can't believe we have him for _________ amount of years left."
