MDA had been public about Chandler and Gallo being the featured players and core/future of this team.

At what position does rooster start?

MDA won 55 games with a 4 guard 4 forward rotation of
Gs:Nash, Bell, Barbosa, Eddie House
Fs:Marion, Diaw, James Jones and a mix of Kurt and Tim Thomas.

How many games does he will with this rotation?
Gs: Sessions, Duhon, Nate, Douglas
Fs: Lee, Chandler, Gallo, Harrington

Cause thats my opening day rotation prediction.

My guess is that Gallo is the starting SF?

Atleast for my money (and this making assumptions)

PG - Sessions
SG - Chandler
SF - Gallo
PF - Harrington
C - Lee

Bench: Hill, Darko, Hughes, Douglas, Dudu

No SGs and no Centers... hmmmm?

I think Gallo plays SF on defense and SG on offense. 6'10, stand outside and pop the shot.
You know I gonna spin wit it

My guess is:

Darko
Lee
Harrington
Chandler
Duhon

Off the bench:
Gallo
Nate
Sessions (If we get him)
Maybe Jordan Hill?
Hughes

my guess is this year he'll be backing up Al Harrington at the F position & take over his place in the starting rotation next season.

It is very simple to guess. Gallo plays like a sf but has the frame to build into a pf. He will play both positions interchanging with Harrington and Chandler. Will he start? Probably not on opening day and could play off the bench with major mins a la Ginobili. Here is my 8-9 man rotation prediction based if we bag Sessions via a sign and trade that sends Duhon to the Bucks and Lee/Nate returns.

PG Sessions
SG Chandler
SF Harrington
PF Lee
C Curry

Bench
Gallinari
Nate
Darko
Hughes

The rookies Hill and TD will play garbage mins and fill in for injury players. For TD to get mins is to have Nate traded or gone to Europe. Hill is a bit raw so he will have his work cut out for him.

clearly gallinari is a unique player. therefore he will play a unique position. he will log minutes as a small c ock some as a power c ock and maybe even some as a shooting c ck

I think he plays like Hedo & Lewis did this past year on Orlando position, not level of play.

Assuming Lee is resigned - I think your starters - assuming also Gallo is healthy

Lee
Harrington
Gallo
Chandler
Duhon

My guess is:

C- Curry/Milicic/Hill
PF- Lee/Harrington
SF- Gallinari/Jeffries
SG- Chandler/Hughes/Almond
PG- Duhon/Robinson/Douglas

no way is Hill gonna be a 3rd reserve C for us this year behind Curry & Darko... Curry will probably hardly see any action, he's still way outta shape... & i'm not so sure Nate will even be here this season either.

I don't know... I think Curry will be logging heavy minutes, especially if they intend on shopping him. The idea may be to showcase his talent, and build his trade value. He's outta shape now, but he still has until training camp, pre-season etc to work his way into the rotation. IMO

i have a feeling Curry's gonna be the same ol' fat lazy butt he's been the past couple years & will be happy collecting his $10 million this year sitting on the bench... he'll probably log at most about 10 mpg if even that... i think the bulk of the minutes at C will be filled by Hill & Darko, w/Fishlips getting some burn there as well... if Lee is somehow not here this season then Curry may see more minutes since Hill will be playing a lot at PF, but i wouldn't bank on it.

If that's the case, and it may be, then Curry won't be in the rotation. But I think that Curry has a lot of motivation to show he can contribute.

i seriously hope so cuz i wanna be able to showcase him for a possible trade, but looking at the guy he just seems completely disinterested in the game of basketball & just trying to squeak by to appease the coach & GM's demand that he gets in shape this offseason... i hope i'm wrong about him but he doesn't look to me like someone who cares about being the best he can be.

I also don't think that he cares about being the best basketball player he can be, but he is in financial trouble and would like to be in a position to sign another lucrative contract before he retires. Money talks.

he's still got another year left in guaranteed salary coming to him, i think he'll be more motivated next year if anything... but i get ur point, his child support payments are kicking his ass right now... at least something is... it's pretty sad that he needs that to be a motivating factor for him.

the Curry situation might be the first Walsh/MDA issue and might show how on the same page they are. MDA isnt going to be thrilled to showcase a guy whos out of shape if the Knicks get off to a slow start. I know MDAs job is secure but he wants to win and build something. Giving minutes to Curry so they can get rid of him isnt going to make the coach happy. Will be interesting to see how it plays out
