great job as always c.

the move at 2.16 is the one i've been talking about. utilizes the fake and takes it straight to the hoop past his man. that's the one i want to see as his go-to.

loved the spin moves and the baseline dunk drives too.

hope mck1 enjoys it

missed george jefferson tho.

Yeah, that does look like his go to move. If you look at his college highlights and summer league highlights you will notice that he never gets blocked doing that move. I think if he can start hitting his shot and develop a good head fake this summer he will be all right . Next summer he can work on his handle. The Knicks are going to give him a workout schedule for him to do everyday.

He needs good fakes and he needs to learn how not to fall for other player's fakes.

That too. He has to work on defense during the preseason and regular season. In the off-season it is hard to work on defense. That's why it is hard to improve your defensive game fast. Offense you can work on by yourself. The most he can do right now for defense is get stronger and watch flim.

couldn't he work on his D if he had someone strong to do a lot of 1-on-1 with?

I like where he is at this point. We haven't had a guy with his particular tools in a while. The fact that he could develop into a 2 way player is exciting. The jumper looks real smooth and I can see his footwork getting better and better over the next 2 years with work. When you have a prospect that has the physical tools what you hope to see is at the least the beginnings of a all around game and I think he's showing that he can get there.

He would have to workout with other skilled NBA players. If not, it would be too easy for him play against someone not on his skill level. Plus there might certain rules about playing pick up games. He belongs to the Knicks so I don't know what the agreement is. Times like this is where you need a coach like Ewing. Maybe there will be a late big man's camp .

Youre right Marv. There is one man who can handle that kind of assignment. Well I call him a man, hes more mountain then man. When he roars, the earth trembles and when he walks, tectonic plates move aside. You know who Im talking about.

The Big Game.

BTW, great job BigC. That little mid-range J is going to be his meat and drink. Fake and drive or pop one in the D's face.
Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?

one on one defense is different than having a 5 on 5 game situation...he needs good coaching. i don't think herb is doing his job. would love to know why the dude is still in the organization...

defense is all about desire, pride, instincts...a coach can't really coach that but he can encourage and get guys in the right mind frame...telling a guy to step in and play better defense is one thing but how you articulate the actual mentality is key. I don't think Herb is capable of tapping into guys heads. "see your man and the ball" and other catch phrases aren't gonna do it. Veteran players that play good defense could help but the Knicks don't have that luxury.

Too bad Ewing is set on becoming a head coach.

Ewing was a great big man..but..does anyone else notice that it's not like Dwight Howard has developed a devastating low post arsenal?

I vote for Hakeem even though he broke our hearts...
Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

I vote Bill Laimbeer. Definitely not a post maestro like Hakeem, but then again Hakeem was blessed with rare physical gifts. Laimbeer can contribute to other functional coaching areas like shooting, passing, and defense, as well as break down tape to teach guys like Hill how to develop raw talent. In BigC's mix you can definitely see Hill has the ability to fake and juke he just hasn't refined it yet.
