From one of the NY Times articles:
He is surprised by how well he has been springing for rebounds, recalling that in his All-Star season of 2001 in Denver, his vertical jump was 48.4 inches — "without a step."

I know, and it's terrible of me, but it's going to happen regardless... we really shouldn't do it. you're right.

I'd like to know what his vertical is now...
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I read somewhere that he can get almost 1 foot off the ground but I think he can touch rim.

if there is any indication, the Knicks did try to run an alley-oop play for him. He has got at least be able to touch the rim, if not a foot above.

He's touched the rim a couple of times since he's returned. I believe it'll improve with more playing time.
