Hill looks more impressive tonight.
Again, Douglas continues to impress.
Almond is a major chucker but he has skill and I think we are going to keep him.
Did they really say Robersharts scored 23 last night?
I like Warren Carter but to what end...more than Sene I suppose.
Skita...for a 7 year vet - in SL play - to be impressive he'd have to be doing quite a bit more.

That's about all I got.

Oh and Harry Douglas, Toney's older brother, is an Atlanta Hawk. Impressed with how he carried himself in the interview as well as Toney's parents during the first game pre-game. Seems Toney's family is tight and intelligent. That's a good sign.

With the 2 roster spots open, I think Almond is a definite and Skita is a near lock to make it. Almond looks like he will fit in pretty well with the real team and Skita is showing to be a much more complete player than he was a few years ago.

Cosmic - Harry Douglas is an Atlanta Falcons wide receiver

Keep Warren Carter around for his ability to score and rebound.

Harry Douglas Sr has a master plan for his family that has been in place for years.

I meant Falcon LOL I was just thinking basketball.

Seems like an intense, tight, and very intelligent family. I think that's a major plus.

Although, we kinda thought that about Frye... but I think Douglas is an entirely different animal. I like the purchase of the pick and the selection it was used on. I think this kid has a LEGIT shot here.
....
I honestly would dump Sene and keep Carter and see what he has to offer.

Father Figure

Cosmic - when I met with Mr Douglas I was more impressed with the overall work ethic. Mr Douglas is definately old school in the best sense of the word. He demands that his sons wear suit and tie in public. Not a strict disciplinarian but he means business.

He shared pictures of Harry and Toney going one on one in the backyard. Toney is the personality opposite of Marbury for good reason.

No Ahearn in sight, good

I tuned in just in time this morning to catch the Kings re-broadcast, saw Ahearn commit 3 consecutive turnoves that even at my absolute worst I could never do that badly, and turned it right off LOL. WOW........if it's possible to cut someone from a SL team I think that was reason to do so.

Earl: Good read. His coach speaking highly of him now. Just seems all good things heard and he's backing it up out there. I'm more impressed with him than anyone at the moment.

The Apple Does Not Fall Far From The Tree

Cosmic - back at you. The word "upside" is sometimes thrown around without knowing where "upside" comes from, or what it really means. I would submit that "upside" is one by-product of having parents who love and support you. For that reason, and the reason he can also play a lick, Toney will learn the NBA game in incremental steps and continue to learn throughout the season.

Nothing spectacular, but like his parents - solid.

So what are we looking at here? An Earl Watson? Jamaal Tinsley? ---- Derek Fisher? Bobby Jackson?

A Robersuck sighting

According to an earlier telecast blurb - Robersharts scored 23 last night. LOL - that's got to be more than every Knick minute he's ever played combined.

Well, we are probably going to keep Almond this year. At least he's likely to do something this year. Although remember that Robersuck hit those three 3's in the game we set a Knick record for most made 3s in a game.

LOL at us going down in flames here at the end. It doesn't seem to matter the venue, does it, we're so good at falling apart it's unreal.

The Answer Man Never Makes Comparisons, Except For The Video Man

Q. Cosmic - So what are we looking at here? An Earl Watson? Jamaal Tinsley? ---- Derek Fisher? Bobby Jackson?

A. Since his parents are old school, The Answer Man is going out on an old school limb and respectfully submits an old school name - Henry Bibby.

LOL, I'm 36 years old. Haven't had the pleasure to know Henry Bibby outside of telecasters brining him up during games that Mike Bibby played in.

*shrugs*

But I heard he was good.

Knicks went away from Hill in the 2nd half. He had a better game so that was a mistake. James Johnson looks like a solid player. He had some serious stop and go moves in the post. Very creative.

I think skita is the one guy that deserves to be brought to camp with a serious shot at making the roster. I think he has played good team ball--his game looks mature---his 3 point shot is there---he blocked some shots---showed some driving abilities--he just look like a solid 10-11 spot roster guy who can come in at times to create mismatches and give us some quality diversified depth.

I think Morris Almond had a grand opportunity 4 days ago and started off very well in that first game and went down hill. I think it's going to be up to the Knicks if they want to bring him to camp--I dont know if he showed enough variety and his main guns werent good enough to justify anything other than consideration. Maybe he gets with the big club after working on some things and sees a bit more space--or maybe the Knicks need to look around at other more versatile players. Costner looked pretty diversified and had a nice 3 point stroke and a strong body. James Johnson looks like a young Paul Pierce.
