My problem is Lee has displayed-to me anyway-this sort of primadonna behavior since he commented on Larry Brown "taking his fun away" or whatever he said on the court. Next was his nixing a trade to Memphis that would have got us Mayo by using leverage I don't think he deserved to have at that point. Now this whole process has been handled classlessly by his camp throughout and now this. Dude needs to realize what he is. $12 million for him is ridiculous. Someone mentioned in another thread about better players making less money. Millsap is a comparable-and younger- player who averaged roughly the same as numbers in a slow-down efficient offense where he played off the bench. Lee's numbers were inflated a bit because of the system. Look at Marion and what happened to him after he left PHX.
As far as I am concerned Lee can go f off in Rome.

i hear ya but i feel a little differently. other than the defense issues on the court, i think lee's been a class act in ny. i think the memphis nix, if it did occur, was well within any players' rights to try to impact his own career. and whose agent wouldn’t be trying to maneuver for the biggest payday. i'm cool with lee.

agree w/ Marv. Lee is handling this right. Letting his agent deal with it and keeping his mouth shut. Nobody knows how much truth there is to the Mayo thing and if its 100% thats pretty typical stuff.
Its America. Lee is entitled to try and get as much cheddar as he can I think he's been professional about it. I think both Nate and Lee and Walsh for that matter have done a good job keeping out of the tabloids and taking a wait and see approach.
The market has been set for Lee by Millsap and thats 4 years and $32mm.

I hear you both but I firmly believe the agent works for the player not the other way around.
Lee may be keeping his mouth shut but his agent is trashing his rep maling it seem Lee is hard to deal with. Lee is letting Bartlestein say these things so in my eyes it falls back on Lee.
