i want to see him show a complete game, inside and out. utilize his height to get the outside shot off but also drive for mid-range shots, lay-ups and dishes.
i really want gallo, chandler and hill asserting their size inside and getting to the line.
screw the off-season. let’s start play already.
This is the big thing. He would was pretty creative going to the basket in Europe, and picked up a decent amount of fouls. Guys are going to be looking for his jumper this year and playing him tighter- he is going to have to use that to his advantage.
Hahn's numbers are a bit too much, and he will not be able to get that many assists unless he is handling the ball as much as Hedu- which I don't think will happen this year.
25-30 MPG 14-16 PPG / 4-6 RPG / 2-4 APG / .5-1 SPG / 40% from 3pt / 90% FT%
Subject to change based on his back, who we have on the team, and how MDA manages his rotation. Hughes, Harrington, and Nate can put up a lot of shots and take up a lot of time with the ball.
The other issue with Gallinari is leadership. If Gallinari plays well and is given more time by MDA, how will certain players respond? Based on everything I've read, he has leadership qualities and knows the game better than many older players, but you have to be accepted by your teammates as a leader. How will guys who have been in the league for years, like Hughes, Nate, Lee, Darko, or Harrington react to Gallinari pointing out to them where they were supposed to be on D or in the offensive flow on a particular play? MDA has to play a role in all of this also- and it will be interesting to see how he deals with minutes if Gallinari's back is completely healed and he is physically able to play 30+ MPG.
MDA has lot of interior decorating decisions to do make with his lineup this year- should be interesting to see how things evolve.
