So...does this help with the Boozer deal...3way with Portland, Utah, and NY?

What I mean ....is this helpful? Utah has to get rid of Boozer now. Portland might want Lee...can that be combined somehow?
Or do we have cap space help with Mobley and ______ to get Boozer straight from Utah?

I hope you are on to something...

I think the most likely way for Boozer to end up here is in fact via a 3-way with Portland and Utah.

Utah gets Mobley, maybe Harrington and a piece for the Blazers.

Knicks get Boozer and another piece from the Blazers.

Blazers get Lee.

We already have one boozer on the team (owner Jimmy "The Dingbat" Dolan), do we really need another?

And they both only care about $$.

James Dolan is a fully recovered boozer.

The trade I saw happening is this:

Mobley's expiring contract and cash from NY to Utah
Boozer from Utah to NY
Resigned Lee from NY to Portland
1st Round Pick from Portland to Utah

NY gets Boozer
Utah gets expiring contract and 1st Round pick
Portland gets Lee

Walsh, make it happen.
Trust the Process

Why wouldn't Portland prefer to directly trade for Boozer? He's better than Lee and they can get him on only an expiring contract and take a year to re-assess the situation?

lee and boozer fill totally different roles in an offense. boozer needs to be a focal point and the blazers already have roy and aldridge. dlee would be a great fit next to aldridge if oden doesn't work out. i think it really hinges on what they think about oden's chances.

The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has exercised its first right of refusal and retained restricted free agent forward Paul Millsap, pending the results of a physical. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not announced. Utah had seven days to match an offer sheet made to Millsap by Portland.

“Keeping Paul on our roster was one of our main goals this offseason,” said Utah Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor. “We look forward to watching him play a key role on this team for many years to come.”

A three-year NBA veteran, Millsap (6-8, 250, Louisiana Tech) appeared in 76 games (38 starts) in 2008-09 averaging 13.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 30.1 minutes per game. As a starter Millsap increased his numbers in each statistical category, averaging 16.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists including a streak of 19-straight double-doubles, the longest streak in the NBA since 2006. Millsap finished the season with 29 double-doubles overall. The native of Monroe, La., also set career-highs in points (32 at Boston 12/15) and rebounds (17 at L.A. Lakers 1/2) while finishing fourth in voting for the league’s Most Improved Player award.

“We are excited to keep Paul with the Jazz,” said Jazz President Randy Rigby. “Since he arrived in 2006 he has been an integral part of our team, establishing himself as one of the up-and-coming power forwards in the NBA.”

Sounds like they view Milsap as their future at power fwd....

So I'm thinking boozer is gone...But I think he's gonna be in Miami...Now it is interesting for the Knicks cuz that mean Portland could be interested in Lee...like for real for real. If they were willing to sign Milsap then Lee has to be the next best thing right???

Well back to Miami...they seemed like they all gave up on last years #2 pick Beasley talking bout how he's slow and can't defend...yeah ok...so lets say Utah trades them Boozer do they ask for Beasley? In a 3 way with Miami can the Knicks get Besley and send Utah some cap relief?

I dunno i'm just throwing **** out there....

#1 Portland needs to make Lee and offer or look for a sign and trade...Knicks need to decide what they wanna do....

#2 Utah needs a scoring small fwd and i see Al Harrington being that guy for them...in a 3 way with miami...how do the Knicks get Beasley in a Knick uniform?
