Here it is. Yours truly managed to get a couple questions in AND was the first one to get the 90s hip-hop quote.

12:33 Moderator: Hi all. We'll start the chat at 1 p.m.
12:54 [Comment From Jim]
Hey Alan don't you think trying to make Eddy Curry adapt to this system is like taking a puzzle and jamming in the wrong piece to make it fit? Even if Eddy produces big numbers teams will not be fooled this time, they know it's the system that makes players look better than they actually are. Teams had to take notice of Zach and Jamal already getting moved from LAC and GSW, and besides I read somewhere a league executive said Curry would not have any value even if he was in shape. Why not just play Jordan Hill and turn him into an asset teams might want? He's fast, he has a good motor, he contests shots and decent mid-range game. And in the summer of 2010 when Eddy is an expiring and teams like Toronto might be looking at a sign and trade so they don't lose Bosh for nothing we can swing a deal with Eddy's expiring and a good prospect like Hill for Chris Bosh.
12:58 Welcome Fixers (and you Twixers, too)...back from Vegas with plenty to discuss. Let's get at it.
First of all, the last thing you do when you're trying to sell a car is talk about how much you really don't like it and all the things wrong with it.
Second, I actually think Eddy -- if he maintained top fitness levels (pause) -- would be a very good fit. He is very nimble for a big man and could be terrific in the high PNR. The open floor set would allow him one-on-one from the post on the dive-downs. But we all know both parties would likely prefer a separation here.
12:58 [Comment From H&S]
Do you see signs of Rubio wanting to be a T'wolf or do you see scare tactics directed at them? If they trade Rubio, will Rubio go anywhere or would he like to land in NY? Would Walsh or D like to have Rubio? Would you still rather not talk about it? Do you think Rubio will stay in Europe two more years and end up forced to play in Minnesota?
12:59 I think he wants to be in the NBA. We can't forget it was his father who didn't want him to declare this year and his father who after the draft said he would be staying in Europe. The kid has said nothing. I think it's worth watching bc it sounds like Kahn is looking to see what the buyout will cost. IF that works out, watch for the Jonny Flynn sweepstakes to begin.
1:00 [Comment From Guest]
How on earth did Hill manage to get so out of shape in just 1 month since the draft, and doesn't anyone find that worrisome?
1:01 It's not "out" of shape, it's not in the top shape you need to play to handle back-to-back two-a-days and then game action. Remember, it's mid-summer, not mid-season. His last game was in March.
1:01 [Comment From Harry]
Alan, based on the roster at this moment does Nate Robinson have more value to the team because of the lack of guards versus David Lee and the variety of 3-5's(even with Wilson Chandler being slotted in the 2 guard spot)?
1:01 No. D-Lee has more value than any of the Knicks bigs.
1:01 [Comment From Vic]
Will the knicks pursue Carlos Boozer?-- Possible trade for Lee?
1:03 Up to Utah to want something from the Knicks that is more valuable than what other teams (Miami, Chicago) could offer. David could draw interest but keep in mind that if they are trading Boozer, it means they matched Millsap, which would mean they really wouldn't want to sign-and-trade for Lee.
1:03 [Comment From David]
When you were in Vegas, did you get to watch Gallo participate in drills? Also, with all the pressure Mike D (the coach not the Beastie Boy) is putting on Gallo as being the man to draw in the free agents next year, do you see it as achievable, or are the expectations too tall of an order?
1:04 Yes I did and he looked tremendous. Only 5-on-0, but he was skying and throwing down a few amazing dunks (180s, reverses). I think there will be a lot of emphasis on Gallo as a focal point, but not to where it is overwhelming.
1:04 [Comment From Carey]
Reports say that Lee's agent is asking for $10 - $12 Mil. What do you think Donnie is offering? $7 - $8 MIl? Also, how important from a personal standpoint is it for Lee to remain in NY? Do you think he'd take $7 Mil to stay in NY vs $8 Mil in Portland or anywhere else?
1:06 I think you're about right in the ranges. I also think you're right to say David would prefer to stay in NY. But if Portland offers, it won't be low-ball. They'd have to do something to make it tough for the Knicks to match, similar to what they did with Millsap's bonus-loaded deal.
1:06 [Comment From rick]
are we serious about tim thomas
1:06 It's Tim Thomas. Vets min. It's not a headline in my paper.
1:06 [Comment From k-hodge]
Whats up Alan? Im guessing you got a chance to see Eddy in Vegas. What do you think? If he comes to camp playing at a high level and becomes tradeable, do we move him? On one hand, if he's putting up numbers, we need him, but Im thinking I'd take an order of hot wings and a roll of booty wipe to move that contract. your thoughts?
1:06 [Comment From kendell]
i think eddy curry holds the key to our success this upcoming season and the next if he regains that allstar form it will help with landing a max caliber free agent in 2010. Any thoughts?
1:09 Eddy looked OK. I'd say he looked like he did two seasons back (2007-08). He's always going to look big (check out Shaq's photos in his new Cavs jersey...he's working out this summer and on a diet (Shaqlyte) and he still is monstrous. It's getting Eddy back to "form" on the court. Does he do enough to attract FAs? I don't think so. Most players in the NBA know his background and are just as skeptical as the rest of us. I do think everyone deserves second chances, tho.
1:09 [Comment From k-hodge]
Every writer/analyst/fan outside of NY beats the hell out of our team. Are we really that bad? Do yo think we have solid pieces in place or as NY'ers are we just overvaluing our guys? I personally feel that we just need a glue guy, a captain, from a winning environment and that would make this bunch a playoff team, NOT CHAMPIONSHIP, but playoff. Am I being an overly optimistic homer?
1:11 It's NY envy. They love to hate us. But you can't blame them considering recent history. It's easy to lose respect, but hard to gain it. It'll take time. As for your optimism, you're not far off. A high-end player would do wonders here with the young core. It's attracting that glue guy that is the challenge.
1:12 [Comment From rickyrick23]
jordan hill has looked unimpressive to me...what i have been looking for is some big time rebounding/defensive intimidation but either his legs are just shot (he doesn't seem to jump a la Eddy Curry) or he's just clueless since it's his first couple of games. maybe david lee is smiling somewhere as we NEED hill to be at least a big time rebounder as he was in college to offset the potential loss of #42...is it his conditioning or should we expect this going forward?
1:14 He's legs are shot, yes. Shot because he's not in season-form. He knows it and admitted it. He's got to be far more explosive and the way he gets after the ball (he really does have a relentless mentality) I think when he does get his legs under him he'll be, as David Thorpe said, a beast. They have 6 weeks to get him doing plyometrics and explosion drills to show gains in that area come training camp. He's very young and raw.
1:14 [Comment From greek knick fan]
Good morning, and thanks again, Alan. If its true that Olympiakos made an offer to Nate, and the Knicks are serious about prepairing Douglas as the back up to Duhon, is there anyway to arrainge some kind of trade with Minnisota, and offer, after signing him, Nate, maybe Curry (they could use a big man..ok, I know what your going to say...lol), and something else, for Rubio, if in fact Rubio refuses to go to Minn?
1:15 No offense, but you've had way too much ouzo.
1:16 [Comment From Jon]
Hi Alan, thanks for keeping up posted. So doesn't look so good for 2010 now, huh? Walsh have anything up his sleeve, or still just kind of hoping someone shows some interest in Curry and/or Jefferies. Does Walsh play it pretty close to the vest and we just haven't heard all of the goings ons?
1:16 [Comment From Rohit]
Hey Alan, great blog and reporting. I think the with the cap dwindling the chances of getting Lebron and other tier 1 superstars are decreasing. I have never thought that Lebron is the end all be all solution for the Knicks. Do you think that Don has a plan c, d, e or whatever that can make the Knicks a better time without all thy hyped superstars? Can the knicks be competitive, say 2 - 3 years from now if they cannot score big in 2010? Thanks keep up the good work, hope you don't leave for vaca, you making my summer bearable, lol jk.
1:18 I wouldn't quite pop the 2010 balloon just yet. First of all, the Knicks will have plenty of money to spend under the cap next summer and you don't necessarily have to spend it all in one summer. You also can have cap flexibility going forward to ensure you will always be in the game for some of the league's top players. Most of all, you can also sign-and-trade or just trade for big contracts if the big names (LeBron) are gone from the market. So let's not let the WorldWide Leader and other outlets dump water on the hopes here. Way too premature.
1:18 [Comment From BigSmooth05401]
Great Job Alan - didn't realize I enjoyed getting spoon fed so much... Will you address the way D'antoni holds grudges? Specifically, is ECurry still in the doghouse because of his actions last season? D'Antoni's handling of the Marbury was very disruptive to the team and its just bad business to let personal feelings get in the way. These grudges seem to contradict his reputation as a players coach. Thank you.
1:19 I got the bib for you every day, BigSmooth. What coach do you know that doesn't have a doghouse? The ones who don't are usually the ones who get run outta town quickly. You have to have control of your room and have players who want to work hard for you. If you don't come down on players who don't take the game as seriously as you do (like Eddy's case last season) then you have what Isiah had.
1:20 [Comment From Frenchie]
Hey Alan, I watched both games to me only Douglas (can be special), Hill (Good Low Post Potential) , Almond (Gr8 Stroke), and #55(Gr8 Stroke) our worth anything. The rest of them look terrible. Wink Adams has NO handle, SENE has nothing, Crawford should look better; Carter is inconsistent, #47 just plain sucked and Aherrn is terrible. I don’t see how he expects to make a club and he doesn’t take control of the offense. Douglas is the real deal!!!!! Hill will take a little longer and he has to work on his stamina, but he has some tools; like that little jump hook, fade away and I saw him face-up. He needs to work on his low post moves and like you said get stronger.
1:21 Frenchie, these rosters are made up of guys who probably will wind up in the D-League or Europe. You have your main guys, then fill out the roster with players just to have a full roster. So don't look beyond the Hill, Douglas and Almond (maybe Acker and Crawford, too) grouping.
1:21 [Comment From Frenchie]
Alan, why don’t the Knicks put a offer in for Ramon Sessions? The Bucks may match, but at least try. Maybe they could do a sign and trade with N8 for Sessions. Also what do you think about Amir Johnson? Tall slender kid, but I think he’s on the up -swing. Do you think he’ll make the Bucks?
1:23 At least try? Try for what? Offering the MLE to a player who will get more than that? It's wasting your time and creating an unnecessary enemy in Milwaukee. Why wouldn't Portland "just try" to offer to Lee? What about OKC or Memphis? You don't do this kind of business. This is the idea of regaining respect.
As for Amir, he's still somewhat of a project, but a compelling one.
1:23 [Comment From Chris]
Hi Allan, judging from what you saw of them in Sin City, can Hill and Douglas be regular contributors, i.e. have a (positive) impact on the team already this season?
1:24 I believe they can, yes. Douglas has third guard written all over him. He could replace Nate and I think he really surprised a lot of people with his handle on the system and as a playmaker. His shot hasn't been falling (and it should because he does know how to score), but overall I think there's legit promise. Hill just needs to get his legs and he will. He should have a regular rotation spot because the Knicks need his length, size and athleticism around the basket.
1:24 [Comment From dogmanx23]
Hey Alan am I foolish to think that Eddy/Hughes for Mcgrady and Harrington/Mobley for Boozer could happen?
1:25 It's not crazy. Curry/Nate for Ricky Rubio (see above) is crazy.
1:26 [Comment From Patrick]
Hey Alan, whats the latest with Andre Miller? Is he really interested in coming here or is it just rumor?
1:27 It's too soon for Andre to take a MLE, one of his confidants told me. But if he does come down to a one-year situation, he'd come to the Knicks bc he knows this system will infalte his numbers dramatically. Then he goes into UFA next summer with a great resume. But it's way too early for him to even consider it. That's an August thing.
1:27 [Comment From JT]
Is Lee's agent asking for too much? Seems like in such a tough market, with no guarantees on other Knicks bigs, that a deal would get done.
1:29 His agent is using market standards, which is what all agents do. Comaprables. You see Bogut, Varejao and even Bargnani and he has to argue that David is better. We all know the Knicks have never low-balled anyone, so this is more about 2010 than their disinterest in David. I'll have more on this soon, so stay tuned. Very interesting stuff. (teaser!)
1:29 [Comment From ....]
When are they going to put Rashaad Singleton in a Summer league game? Honestly, none of the bigs haven't done much, Sene hasn't done much. Why not Singleton? 7 0, strong, he could be good.
1:30 You know I agree. He can't do much worse. A major project, but this guy is huge and very strong. Maybe they don't want to show him off too much? ;-)
1:30 [Comment From Kevin]
Alexander/Jennings, Love/Flynn, Henderson/Augustine, Mayo/Thabeet, Randolph/Curry, Lopez/Wiliams. Where do you rank Gallinari/Hill among this group?
1:31 Better than Mayo/Thabeet. That's only a 50-percent gain. Better than Alexander/Jennings and Love/Flynn. Lopez/Williams a push right now. Randolph really looks good, doesn't he?
1:32 [Comment From Brian]
Jeffries and Nate for Morrison and someone with an ending contract, doesn't it make sense for both teams? Especially if they lose Odom?
1:32 Ohh Steph Curry. Walked by me the other day and I was like...You're miserable, arent you? He just laughed and shook his head. Like Tiffany sang, "Coulda been so beautiful/Coulda been so riiight..."
1:33 I cosign that, BRian
1:33 [Comment From BigCuse44]
If Utah matches the Milsap offer, will Portland offer Lee a similiar contract? Would DW match a similiar offer?
1:33 Good instincts, Cuse.
1:33 [Comment From Bill]
Why don't the Knicks sign Iverson for a one year deal at the MLE? Isn't this the perfect example of a low risk, high reward type move?
1:33 No, it's a high risk, low reward move. This is not what the Knicks need to do to this locker room. Period.
1:34 [Comment From K22]
It's November 1, 2009. Are both Nate Robinson and David Lee be Knicks?
1:34 Only one is. And why is it 85 degrees in November?
1:34 [Comment From Mike]
Would you trade for odom at $8-9 million long term? wouldn't he be a prize in the system.. long term contract or not?
1:35 ISn't that what the LAkers offered? Why would they trade him if he takes what they offered?
1:35 [Comment From BHREBAD98]
Great job as alawys alan. Based on walsh comments we dont really have a 2 gaurd. 1) does Larry huges make it to opening day as a knick? And 2) do they go after a 2 gaurd in free agents like stackhouse and Marquis Dianels? Only for 1 year of course.
1:36 You're right...the 2G spot is a major area to fill. MD's system really doesn't put numbers on players, so the 2G and SF are interchangeable, really. But remember, Joe Johnson could be a free agent next summer and MD loved him in their system.
1:36 [Comment From Skot]
Alan, In a draft filled with PGs we may have erred not taking one - Jennings and some others were available. I am not saying Hill is a bust, but he may not make the impact expected of a #8 pick. On the other hand, Jennings seems to have a big upside. Only time will tell. But my point is, we are at a critical point now where we have to make a couple of good trades for us to be a good team in the years to come. If we don't make the correct moves now, we may not have good free agents come here next year and we may not be left with a good team without them. Do you agree with me that it is imperative for the Knicks to get a couple from - from what seems available now, Boozer, Odom, Sessions, Miller etc?
1:37 You did take one, Toney Douglas.
1:37 [Comment From Mike Why]
Hey brotha! How is P90X treating you? I'm going to be greedy here, 1) whats your impression of the log jam of forwards/centers right now? Oddmen out? 2) Roberson vs. Almond impressions?
1:39 I'm in the middle of Week 3 of P90X. It's killer, but I'm obsessed with it. Seeing (well, feeling) results already. Amazing program.
1. I do wonder what they're going to do with all these forwards. Someone's gotta sit, which is never a happy thing. 2. Almond has greater potential. A-Rob's issue was confidence. Almond seems to know he's a great shooter.
1:39 [Comment From AK]
Alan what do you think about picking up gooden or Ike Diogu
1:40 Yawn. (Sorry)
1:40 [Comment From K 22]
Will Toney Douglas be enough to give Chris Duhon some suitable rest this season? Duhon was really run into the ground last season.
1:41 He will have to. People forget how terrific C-Du was in the first half and he broke down bc his body broke down from the wear-and-tear. TD should give him a break bc he is a legit PG, unlike Nate who is more of a combo and Mike D didn't have the same trust in him to run the offense.
1:42 [Comment From Tray]
is there any chance knicks hire a coach to help on defense?
1:42 I'll ask Herb Williams, who is in charge of the defense.
1:42 [Comment From Mega]
Alan is Austin Daye better than Jordan HiIl?
1:43 Two totally different players. Ask me if Austin Daye is better than Gallo. I'll tell you no.
1:43 [Comment From Bernard]
Hey Alan, thanks for the Knicks coverage on Newsday and Twitter. Since Donnie Walsh is leaving Vegas to go back to his Manhattan office, is it possible that the Knicks will make some moves (big or small) in the next couple of days?
1:43 [Comment From theonb]
Sup Alan, Walsh apparently has left LV early to be able to get more work done. Is this in anticipation of contrract offers for Lee, Nate and Miller or a combination thereof?
1:43 I hope some things get done soon, I'd like to take some vacation time.
1:44 [Comment From dre]
Hey alan would the knicks take a look at marcus williams hes looked pertty good in summer league.
1:44 Why? They have Douglas. They have Duhon. He is not an upgrade. He has looked good, but he's not the kind of upgrade you're looking for.
1:45 [Comment From Louie]
Back to 2010- if the cap is rumored to now fall to $53 million for that summer, and the Knicks has been planning for the past few years on a $63 million cap, as reported, that's a HUGE letdown for them. That $10 million was for the guy they were going to get to play alongside LeBron...now he's just playing alongside Wilson Chandler.
1:46 Armchair Economology is not my forte. And, as I've said repeatedly, you CAN trade for high-end players, too. Cap space gives you flexibility in many ways. And you also have 2011...
1:46 [Comment From Mr. Kraft Singles]
What's the deal with Al Harr? Is he being used as trade bait to bring in Boozer?
1:47 Right now it's the best the Knicks can do....Utah has to want what the Knicks have.
1:47 [Comment From Adam]
Who needs to take charge for the Knicks to win 40 this year?
1:47 Gallinari
1:47 [Comment From Nick]
I am not a big Chandler guy. Is he untouchable and really a building block? Or is that just PR to drive up his value for a possible trade?
1:48 He's a building block, but as we saw before the draft when DW tried to get the No. 5 pick from WAS, he's not untouchable.
1:48 [Comment From Rob]
Hi Alan, follow u here and on Twitter. Fun stuff. How about your thoughts on how realistic Walsh is being about 2010-11? With the CBA & cap structure, LBJ & co would get much better deals from their own teams so why leave? Also, seems some of this summer's FAs are better than next and we have some really good expirings to offer in trades IF Walsh concedes that the 2010-11 strategy is no longer valid. Your thoughts?
1:49 So you're a Fixer/Twixer...cool. I've spoke on this many times: it is irresponsible for the Knicks to not have the cap space to make a play for the best player in the NBA. Whether they can get him or not, you absolutely must be players for him, knowing how much LeBron loves NY and the Garden. Now, if he re-signs with CLE this summer, all best are off.
1:49 [Comment From cd]
I read that Von Wafer is an unresricted free agent, with houston trying to fill so many holes in its system do you think they will re-sign. Do the knicks have any interest?
1:50 They had him on the SL team last summer. He played well for the Rox off the bench. Could help off the bench here, too, but would have to take a low number.
1:50 [Comment From bockersORbriefs]
Hey Alan, do you think someone like CJ Miles from Golden State could be a viable fit for this system when all the FA PGs we won't get are gone ?
1:51 I think you stay with Duhon.
1:51 [Comment From Irv]
Will Knix use Milicic as a center or pF???
1:51 [Comment From Nick]
Any feel on Millicic? Can D'Antoni's system save his NBA career, or is this his last stop until Europe.
1:51 Yes
1:52 Darko's future is sketchy. This system may help but I am not sure what to expect.
1:52 [Comment From ItalianHYPE]
Hey Allan what is youre projection for Gallos stats for next season
1:52 impossible to predict, but for you, I'll do it. I say Gallo averages 17 pts, 6 rebs and 5 assists.
1:52 [Comment From Adam]
Does Boozer even fit in with the Knicks style of play?
1:53 Well, he is a terrific PNR player. He'd have to understand he won't get the post-ups he's used to getting, however. And he won't be able to dominate the ball like he does. But that PNR will produce big numbers for him.
1:53 [Comment From BigTyme]
Any info on Walker Russell, led the D-league in assist with 10.8 and 16.3 ppg?
1:53 Such as?
1:53 [Comment From KnicksAreBack]
randolph looks good. but let's remember there's still Biedrins and this is Summer League
1:54 Thanks for the reminder
1:54 [Comment From Mark]
Alan, dude - talk me off the ledge! Jordan Hill looks like a project while Austin Daye and Earl Clark and Dejuan Blair are beasts. We're thinking about giving up Mobley's insurance-paid contract for Boozer. And we're chasing perpetual underachiver Tim freakin' Thomas (again!) I'm starting to lose some confidence in Donnie. Poor drafts, and chasing loser FAs. What's going on???
1:55 Daye and Beast should never be in the same sentence. No one is "chasing" Time Thomas. He's an option. Your problem is you are wound too tight right now. It's summer. Go to the beach. And stop reading anything other than Newsday.
1:55 [Comment From Mike]
Let's have a prediction on the Knicks opening night roster - at least the top 8.
1:56 Duhon-Chandler-Gallinari-Lee-Curry-Douglas-Hill-Milicic
1:56 [Comment From Twitter: jma201]
Any good early 90s rap quotes for today?Tskiti looks pretty good and active in games, a little like gallo in the sense that he's a bigger guy that can shoot. If not, Tim Thomas, what do you think of DW taking a chance on him based of potential?
1:58 Name the song/artists: "I heard that shoving is worse than pushing/but I'd rather know a shover than a pusher/Cause a pusher's a jerk"
Not expecting Skeeter to be a Knick after this week. Just my take.
1:58 [Comment From KnicksAreBack]
what about Lee and Nate for Odom and Shannon Brown?
1:58 [Comment From KnicksAreBack]
odom will help attract FAs in '10
1:59 Lakers would have to want that scenario. It's a no-brainer for the Knicks.
1:59 [Comment From Knicks Fan in Texas]
Speaking of adding a guard, whatever happend to mike james for jefferies deal?
1:59 It was fiction, I was told.
1:59 [Comment From Mark P.]
Alan - Great job as always. But help me out with DW's "strategy." Kidd I can understand. But Hill? And now Tim Thomas??? And Jordan Hill doesn't look like a top 20 pick, let alone a top ten. Too little time playing b-ball. I hope DW is a better trader than he is a drafter...
2:00 Why is everyone so geeked about Tim Thomas? It's not a headline! Read the fine-print: veteran's min....cheap addition. And still an if.
Hill will be fine. Give it a few more weeks before we call him a bust.
2:00 [Comment From Fela]
ayo my dude, I read this thing everyday so thanks alot because summer used to be so dead and boring relying on the WWL for my knicks news. I guesstimate that this knicks roster contains the least amount of proven talent that we've had in the last 10 years. I know thats not saying much because the games arent played on paper. but with everybody in the conference getting better and no draft pick next year its seems like we're in a real bad spot here. Why do Donnie and D'antoni seem so optimistic about this year? I'm not seeing it. What do we have to be optimistic about is my question?
2:03 Um, what to look forward to? How about no Marbury controversies this year?
This is the year before the year. It's never easy to rebuild. You have to go through the time when you have players you know won't be around for long. This is the hump year. Gotta get over it.
But in saying that, Gallo offers some hope, something to watch. The other young players also have some promise. It's a plan, you have to stick through it. I wish I could offer more but it's the summer. Let's get to training camp and see what it all looks like on the floor.
2:03 [Comment From Matt B]
Think Pat Ewing Jr. will get a training camp invite? Or is he hurt?
2:03 The knee is an issue. I heard he's getting a second opinion on it about surgery.
2:04 [Comment From dogmanx23]
The big 4 extension Window is open now. Do you expect Lebron/Wade/Bosh/Amare all to sign their extensions killing every NY fans fantasy of getting 2 of those players?
2:04 It's very curious. I don't see them signing this summer.
2:04 [Comment From eli]
Does Lee's fate hinge directly on the Jazz's decision with Millsap?
2:05 I think there could be a correlation.
2:05 Could
2:05 [Comment From big boi]
How much of Mobley's contract will get wiped off the books due to his retirement? Is it a 100% sure thing that this will occur? If so it is a spectacular trade chip and could help net someone like Boozer, T-Mac, or draft picks in tandem with junk players like Kenny Thomas, right?
2:05 [Comment From HellfireGod]
If we don't trade Cutino Mobily's contract this year then is it gone?
2:06 Nothing gets wiped off. He is still on because he did not file retirement papers. So his salary is still on the cap, but it is insured. 80percent is covered after he misses his 41st game this season. And it expires after the coming season.
2:06 [Comment From Irv]
Thanks Alan- Your blog is like water to a man dying of thirst! Are Gallo's handles good enough to play point forward ?? COuld he play in the backcourt with Duhon??
2:07 Thanks Irv. I am like Issac from the Love Boat (two finger point). Here to serve it up cool in the summer and hot in the winter.
Yes he can handle the ball well enough to be a point-forward type. Is he a two? Nah, because he really can't defend quicker twos. But he and Chandler are pretty interchangable like that on the floor together.
2:07 [Comment From Carlisle]
Do you know wether the Knicks discussed swapping the 6th pick for the 8th pick with the Wolves. Flynn would have been there at 8.
2:08 Once the TWolves got the 5, they had a plan. They were not moving the 6. DW did ask.
2:08 [Comment From ...]
Isn't Oakley helping out the Knicks this season?

What exactly is Charles Oakley new role within the coaching staff this season? Or was that just a rumor?
2:08 Where did that come from?

Why not try to trade Al Harrington and try to shore up the 2 spot? While I love the passion he brings, plainly put he is a ball hog and will take away mins from Chandler and Gallinari.
2:09 Someone has to want Al and want to give up a player that the Knicks want.

I notice your top 8 doesn't include Harrington. he averaged 20 ppg last season! What's going to happen there?
2:09 It was just eight players. Don't read anything into it.

Why don't they play Sene more than 9 minutes so we can see what he can do? He seems to get a lot of blocks per minute, which is exactly what we need...
2:10 Because he can't do anything else?

That rap track is "say no go" De La Soul!!!! You the man Alan!!!

Hey AH- do you think Gallo can be better than Hedo?
2:11 Better is always arbitrary. At this stage of his career, he's on that track. I think he plays with more aggression than Hedo. Might not be the same kind of facilitator, but Gallo has major-league game. Getting him 100 pct healthy and having that back issue disappear is the major factor IMHO.

Summer 2010 – Plan A: LeBron, Plan B: Wade, Plan C: Joe Johnson. What’s plan D?
2:13 Kevin Durant or Brandon Roy (RFAs)

any chance johnny flyyn can become a knickerbocker if the rubio ends up playing for the wolves. what would it take? would you give up al harrington and do you think the wolves would do that?
2:13 I don't know if the Knicks have the kind of assets Minny wants for Flynn. Depends on what the market is for him. Would there be interest? Likely.
2:14 Moderator: Thanks all.
2:14 Thanks Fixers.
