pull a Grant Hill. He's going to leave NY like Grant left Detroit, and sign somewhere else and get seriously injured again and we'll be happy... now if we could only get a Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins in exchange...

I hope they dont resign to a max contract. That would be a major disaster! I think they should give him a little money but nothing that will hurt us in the long run. Maybe a short-term contract with max money but nothing that goes beyond 2007 and outlives shandon anderson and howard eisely.

lets see how it plays out this year. at the end of the year things can be evaluated. just my opinion, but there is no way he will EVER get max money from any team because you couldnt insure the contract. since most team can only offer MLE money--we can easily do something like 7-8mm per year with team opt outs each year. I think thats fair and I think antonio is fair . Something like a 3 year 24 mm $ extension if everything works out. That trumps a 4 year MLE

true BRIGG. i think most teams learned from jerseys' mistake w/zo. but if he plays like he used to, i'd love to resign him. i've always loved to watch dice play, & i'll definetly enjoy this season. he's also always wanted to play here, & seems happy. just something in the back of my mind, but what if he has enough of a concience to feel like he owe's ny s/thing. truthfully speaking, all the free money & nothing but support from ny.

What's not going to happen? Get a Chucky and Ben for Dyess? Or Dyess leave? I think the guy is going to leave for the West. He never wanted to come to NY... and he wanted to play with Spree - Spree is gone. Dyess feels like an outsider here. I think he'd want to go to the Mavs, or back to the Nugs - maybe Utah... Maybe the Spurs. He's looking to join someplace and form a dream team, not stick around in NY. He knows Layden and Dolan are junk, and that the Knicks are a joke. He's from the country, but he's not a bumpkin.

He doesn't want to be the Knicks "savior" - he says this every day. He's sick of it. He doesn't want to carry a team. He wants to fit in and let someone else lead. He knows NY is not going to a higher rank...
