A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former NBA star Antoine Walker on criminal charges stemming from $822,500 US in gambling debts.

A court clerk says Las Vegas justice of the peace Melanie Tobiasson signed the warrant Tuesday.

Walker is accused of three felony counts of writing bad cheques.

County prosecutors say he failed to make good on 10 cheques totalling $1 million US written to Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort.

Writing bad checks is really not cool! Triple indemnity in some states.

He can negotiate a settlement.

Be really a shame if that fool was really broke. Stupid is one thing, but broke would be another.

Eddy Curry is on this road as well. Good for them.

It's interesting to note that both of them are rumored to be gay. This is why they do such bad things-- their brains are not functioning properly because they have to suppress their gayness every day.

I never understood why it is so easy for athletes and celebrities to get into so much trouble especially financially. I just don't understand it but it seems incredibly common place....and for some reason excusable? I just don't get it.

It's easy because they lack the capacity for critical thought. No harm done, however. It's not like the money was burned; it went to various businesses and people that DO know how to handle money.
