Stephon Marbury has told the New York Post that he is eyeing playing in Europe as a stronger option than ever after Boston told him that they are no longer interested in re-signing him after landing Rasheed Wallace.

"If I have to give it overseas, I'll give it overseas," Marbury said. "I like the Europe option to bring the Starbury [sneaker] brand there and sponsor soccer players."

Marbury is still waiting for NBA offers after joining the Celtics late following a long dispute with the New York Knicks.

"The Knicks put me in a really bad situation, a really bad spot, so I'm still waiting," Marbury said. "Teams are still shopping."

Can't wait to see the Starbury signs all over European billboards and on soccer players.

Didn't the Celtics make him an offer originally and he turned it down? (not sure on this) He should have re-signed with Boston for some pennies, had a productive season, and gone for bigger bucks next year.

I believe the Celtics offered him the vet minimum, 1.2 million. I think it was an attempt to be respectful but they did not want him back. I like the statement about the Knicks. It doesn't seem like not having an agent is working for him. He really does not have an ego that will allow him to participate in negotiations, at least it wouldn't last year.

Thats why a million people shouted from their Keyboards for you to accept a reasonable buyout early last season so you could audition somewhere properly.

You are a reactive personality. Blaming others for your own mistakes.

GOOD RIDDANCE!
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Yeah, that was a dumb move on his part. My guess is that if he had an agent he would have been advised differently. It was just dumb. He was not in a position of strength. But pride got in the way and he lost a year of ball(not to mention he lost a large majority of last year). He had to know that no one was going to give him a large contract unless he played out of his mind in Boston. He only saw the moment and did not see long-term. And now he blames NY. The Knicks were looking out for themselves and he should have looked out for himself. Accepted the buyout, or accepted the offer to play from D'Antoni. Either way, it didn't matter. He just needed to be on the court to play. But pride got in the way.

There was this wrestler in the WWE named Gene Snitsky. They started establishing his persona when he hit someone with a chair causing wrestler to fall on his pregnant wife causing her to miscarriage (remember it's pro wrestling). For weeks after that, whenever he did an interview or a promo in the ring he constantly claims innocence and says "it wasn't my fault!". So much so that they basically incorporated it into his theme music. Whenever he comes out for a match, you hear the guitar riff followed by "IT WASN'T... MY.... FAULT!!!!".

Somehow, I always hear this guy's theme whenever Big-Head opens his mouth.

I am 10000X smarter than this man and I'll never live the lifestyle he does and there are people out there struggling to even get by in these times. FUCK THIS GUY, what a ****ing *******. I seriously can not believe he actually said that. I mean seriously.
