This won't happen and posting trade ideas is just fodder, but:

Eddy Curry to Oklahoma City for C Atkins, Damien Wilkins and T Safolsha. OKC needs size and may take a chance on a 7 foot center who did average 19 ppg just 2 years ago, and it won't hurt their salary cap much at all next year, which would be around 30 mil with the Curry contract in 10-11. The three players coming averaged 15 mpg, 8 mpg, and 17 mpg, so none are big parts of the juggernaught that is OKC.

Just an idea.

I wouldn't be surprised if Curry doesn't play in the nba again. He is pretty damaged emotionally and physically. When you couple that with the fact that Curry is far from motivated and has a huge contract I think he might be done. He is not moveable until his contract is about to expire in my opinion.

if thats the case hopefully he can just retire and put everyone (fans, donnie walsh, d'antoni, etc) out of their misery. he's the worst, least desirable player in the NBA. i don't think any team wants him, including the knicks!

I am not so sure. People like his size... especially woman. Big size is always better...

The last time Eddy had an offseason where he was reported to be in great shape and attended training camp, during training camp the reports were that Q and someone else were helping drag/carry Curry through running drills because he was close to collapsing. I think Eddy had the talent to be an amazing player but he is just lacking in other areas and has had an awful lot happen to him in the last two years. I think if there was anyway that the Knicks could get out of his contract they would and not just because it would help their cap situation. Unfortunately for Eddy, he is going to be the example coaches and agents use when they try to communicate what it is important to not do as a professional athelete. It is a sad situation because Eddy is well liked by his teammates and appears to be a nice guy.

Sounds like a great trade idea, but then any trade would be great if it involves Curry. I can't imagine anyone wanting that sad excuse. I agree with Crush about Curry not playing in the League again.

Well, if Curry could somehow get his fat azz down to 275 pounds, he would easily win the most improved player award. While I have no reason to think it will happen, I am hoping that Curry can have a good season next year and we can trade him without having to take back a bad contract.

If just his azz will weight 275 pounds, what will be the total? 500?

Why not trade with Houston? They are desperate right now and need talent up front. Larry Hughes, Eddy Curry, and Hill for TMAC is a great deal for us. We get rid of hughes and curry save 13 million off the cap and still have our core.

interesting thought but i wouldn’t do it. getting rid of eddy is great relative to the free agents, but if hill is good, he'll be worth more to us than the difference in FA money imo.

same. No reason to through Hill away so soon. Knicks can dump Nate and JJ and wait the extra year for Curry to come off. We would still be able to sign 2 max guys in consecutive years.

Who is the max guy we are signing is the question in year one? Wade is out of the picture, Lebron is dicey, Dirk is staying in Dallas, the nets are much more attractive to someone then we are because of their guys, maybe not there arena. Which leaves Amare or Bosh. Amare is a possibility, but if he gets moved this year or signed who are we really looking at. I don't have a problem waiting an extra year, but this franchise has proven they still don't know what the hell is going on. Paul and Durant are much more realistic options.

Would you offer Jefferies, Lee, Hill for Bosh?

Curry doesn't get moved without the Mobley deal unless he somehow comes in playing the best ball of his life.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

wow that 's an interesting question. i'm gonna say yeas. odds are that hill and lee will both be pf's as their best positions. bosh is a huge upgrade over lee and by losing jeffries' contract and not retaining lee we should still have major bucks left for more fa's. especially if we had a handshake with bosh that we'll re-sign him in '10 after landing him some new teammates.
