All 3 of these guys are on the books for next season. It's for under a million each, but they are still under the books. Are these guys that Walsh will cut with no hesitation or is he going to have to keep them?

Crawford and Hunter play positions which we don't need. I think Sene can provide something to this team, although D'Antoni will never play him. I think he'd cut all 3 but the most likely to stay from all of them is Sene.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I would be surprised if their contracts were guaranteed.

Actually, the $1,000,000 or so for these guys should be the qualifying offer because they are non-qualifying free agents. What this means is that they are FAs who have been in the league for fewer than 3 years, so that they can actually become restricted free agents if the Knicks offer them the qualifying offer of about $1M.

As a practical matter, I think the Knicks declined to offer them the QO so that the point is moot. I am not sure, but I think the deadline for offering the QO was the same as for Nate and David.

I'm definitely the wrong guy to answer, but my rememberance is that those contracts were pro-rated for the 08/09 season. I don't think we're on the hook for any of those guys for 09/10

All NBA contracts are guaranteed.

I heard that they were only signed until the end of this season. If I'm right, once free agency begins for next season, they're free agents.

I'm not talking about for the 2010/2011 season. I'm talking about this coming season b/c I am hoping we have room to sign Morris Almond and maybe another Summer league guy.

Pretty sure these guys were unguaranteed option players for next season.

We'll know more in about 10 days I think.

Also when some of these guys are signed "for a year" it just means the "rest of the season" which has already passed. Don't see why anyone would give tryout players guaranteed second seasons. I doubt we did.

Crawford: April 6 - Signed for remainder of the season. Exoired.

Sene - April 10 - Signed Free Agent - Supposedly on the books for 855K this season.

Hunter - April 14 - Signed Free Agent - Supposedly on the books for 736K this season.

On the last two - no word if it's guaranteed or not (terms no disclosed).

Inconsequential I think.
