Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News reported that the Wolves turned down a deal with the Houston Rockets that would have resulted in Aaron Brooks and Shane Battier headed to Minnesota for Ricky Rubio.

I don't think we can make a better offer than that. Rockets must be high on Rubio if they are offering up Battier for him.

we can make a better offer than Brooks & Battier, but whether it's worth it is another story.

Thinking about it, if the wolves are going to trade rubio why would they want a point like brooks back. Flynn should then become their point and that should mean they want a 2 guard, but after their performance at the draft who knows.

i think our questions will be answered soon after July 1st... we'll have to see what Donnie does w/Lee & Nate's S&T situations i guess... i still say Rubio is the guy Donnie's got his focus set on right now.

At this point I don't even know if Rubio will play in this league this year or the next year. That being said, I think the Wolves are asking too much for Rubio. At this point I would not be surprised if Tyreek Evans or James Harden turn out to be better NBA players.

Maybe it isn't, but Kahn just thinks he can get a better deal down the road.

I am also not sure you can depend on him being a rational guy. At this point I still cannot figure out if he is a fox or a fool.

Grass is greener theory. Battier sucks we all know it but because Houston was winning we like to think he was a integral part of the winning. Had Chandler been on the rockets we would think he is great just like Battier if not better. The fact is winning teams players always look better than they are.

Knicks can definitely give them a better offer than the rockets. The rockets after Scola have nothing left in their tank that anyone in the league would want maybe a few acceptable role players that about it.

I didn't mean that, I meant more in line what TMS said. I am not happy giving up Chandler and Hill (or the #8) for Rubio. I think he has the potential to be a great player, but also the potential to be a big bust and I think Chandler and Hill is too much for that. So what I meant to say was that we cannot make a better offer that is worth the risk.

By the looks of this there is plenty of competition for Rubio. Could be BS from Kahn though to try and get a better offer.
