This was a good pick up by Donnie Walsh. I think Douglas might be one of the biggest sleepers in the draft. Hopefully the Knicks give him playing time because his game is nice.

Nice mix.

Haven't seen much of him, but he seems to widely considered a pretty good pick for us at 29. Still think patty mills would have been a better pick.

TMS, so what is your feeling on Hill now that the Knicks drafted him because I know you are a fan of his?

BigC, u know i wanted Demar first, but Hill is a fine pick if u ask me... i had him #3 on my wishlist... the guy will be a natural fit in this system, he can run the floor, finish, bring some shotblocking, rebounds, is an active body in the paint, has a developing post up game, can knock down a midrange J, & looks to be a hard worker who will improve steadily as his career goes on... i really think he's gonna be a super version of Antonio Davis for us & do some of the things that Amare did for MDA in Phoenix... i'm not saying Hill is gonna be an exact Amare clone, but he will bring some of that nasty finishing ability & the interior presence that Amare brought to the table IMO... now, if we bring in a guy like Rubio who excels in the open floor running an uptempo style, you are gonna see some really great things outta this kid Jordan Hill... it's gonna be a very exciting brand of basketball to watch, & i can see someone like Gallo excelling in that type of game also & being a very nice complement to Hill's inside game.

He has some nice foot work, but i feel in order for these players to excel, they will need a penetrating guard or a post up player to draw doubles. I think thats the key in any system, the celtics had KG, the heat had shaq, the spurs had ducun, the lakers had gasol, detriot had rasheed and dice. Those are the last 5 teams to win it all.

I agree with that. The Knicks should have drafted a player for the backcourt. That being said Douglas can drive at will to the hole. The question is will Mike D give him playing time.

As far as Hill, he has a long way to go in postup area. The good news he is a hard worker.

i think it will obviously help us win games to have an upgrade at PG but i don't doubt Hill's ability to put up #'s next year in this system even playing w/Duhon as our starting PG... he's got the midrange game, the hands & the athletic ability & size to do well in both an uptempo style game as well be effective in the pick & roll.

Anybody see Vinnie Johnson in Toney Douglas game??? I'm totally seeing a little "microwave" in Douglas, pause.

The Knicks don't run a post offense...so I don't think its needed to have a dude that draws a double in the paint. What Hill does provide is attention defensively. He is a live body and D'antoni will no doubt have this kid flying towards the basket all day.

Knicks need a point guard so bad omg....I don't wanna see Duhon and his weak dribbling, predictable passing, slow ass playing next season....Knicks need some speed and creativity.

I tell you what, from watching Toney Douglas' highlight mix, I saw a lot of Mo Williams in his game. This guy is making a living shooting pull ups off of screens. I wonder if he's a more efficient player in the NBA. The thing you have to remember was he was basically FSU's only scorer and was completely dempended on for offense there. Mo Williams ended up being a much better player in the NBA b/c of similar reasons. He looks very similar in terms of build and style of play.

He was FSU only scorer, I guess that explains his zero ast in the highlights. How is he a combo guard

His story sounds alot like Stephan Curry's...Curry did get to play point his senior year and got rave review from the likes of Coach Knight and alot of peeps including myself.

Anyway...I can't wait till summer league rolls around. I wanna see what this guy can do.
