Well it looks like tonight is the night, and I have my fingers crossed for Dyess and the Knicks. He deserves to come back strong and be effective without destroying his knee again. I will be tuning in to see if he gets any minutes tonight and if he can come back effectively and the Knicks keep playing like they have been then maybe this season could end up being positive. Good luck Dyess....

Myself and Hardcore will be at the garden tonite to witness McDyess making his season debut vs the Pissons. It's only fare for Hardcore and I to see McDyess @ the garden tonite because both of us had previously witness the last time he played @ the garden floor v.s the Suns in a pre-season game.

Knicks brass is looking to play him 15 to 20min per game until they feel comfortable with overall performance. It's only fare to monitor his presence on the floor as opposed to last yr when he was logging in 35 min during the pre-season.

Knicks brass also are being very cautious with their physical specimen realizing they don't need to force any issues especially having depth @ the four spot.

I don't expect him to do anything spectacular tonight, get off some rust get in foul trouble...reject a few weak shots by opponents. He stays healthy all yr we go to eastern finals no doubt in my mind.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Well lets hope there isnt a repeat of last pre-season tonight or any other night this year. Have fun at the game guys, I will be watching on MSG - this will be the first time I have ever seen him play so I am excited but cautiously optomistic about the future with Dyess. I think the Knicks are doing the right thing by limiting his minutes until everyone is comfortable. Didnt he play a few games at the end of the season before he came to the Knicks?

The man blew his knee slamming a rebound. He made the shot also. Walked off the court also.

I hope he makes it back most of the way. He is one of the good guys and while he is financially set, I hope he can put it togther and have another good 6 years in the league.

If he can rebound the ball once, throw an outlet to Frank, and he Ooops it to Lampe, it may be all worth it. That providing NayNay is not the next Karl Malone.

We may all be retired before Lampe gets off the Wood.

Laydog may get out of this one yet. Im rooting for this.

i was wondering, and i probably will get a lot of flack for this. how is dice veiwing his comeback? he keeps saying that he is not the "old" antonio (20pts. 10 reb.) but the "new" antonio. what the hell does that mean?? he needs to have confidence if he wants to be successful. he can avg. 20 pts. and 10 rebs. without being the athletic forward, even though it would be nice. develop his jumper, put in offensive rebounds and develop solid moves around the basket. we need him to be at least 17pts. 8rebs. per game. i am not saying it should happen right away but when january rolls around he should be in that mode.

Well if Dyess can stay healthy I would say he is more a 15 and 5 guy now...he is going to lose a lot because of the knee injuries - no way he comes back to be 20 and 10. He said it himself, unless he is just trying to get peoples expectations down so he can do his thing under less pressure.

Come January like you said Jazz about McDYESS, we could have our own version of LJ after back surgery. GOOD numbers , Good defender just not playing over the rim alot anymore.

Lj became a better player using what he had left and using it wisely.

Dice could also be better. High flying acts are tough to keep up. Jordan and Dr J learned to be better at shooting, passing, and other things to be more effective. Camby never did this and his game still relies on being pure athletic.

good example with lj. after his back surgery, he came back and avg. 20pts per on charlotte. solid numbers and he developed a three point shot. no i do not expect dice to develop a three point shot or avg. 20 points. but he should drain anything within 15-20 feet, have some back to the basket moves ( kt biggest offensive flaw) and defend. if he has a season that has him scoring 12pts and 6rebs. a game, you might as well keep kurt thomas and trade dice because kt has been tallying solid numbers. what i am saying is dice needs to have better numbers than kurt thomas to have an impact season. he is capable of scoring 17pts. per. without jumping or running the floor like a gazelle. especially in the east.

It was good to see Dyess back last night. Even though he was only in for 13 minutes, he had decent stats for someone who hasn't really played during the season for about 2 years.

If we would've won last night, it would've topped of the Dyess debut night.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
