Jordan Hill/ Jared
Harrington/Gallo
Darko/Curry

That's not including Wilson and Sene/Hunter

I gotta say....that's pretty damn good....not only that....dare I say it? Its balanced! As a whole you got athletisism, shot blocking, inside presence, good finishers, shooters, ball handlers.....its a beautiful mix. I believe Jordan Hill will help immediately.

Omg, Go Knicks.....

Let's just take this one step at a time.

We added a nice piece in Hill and are still waiting to see what happens with Lee - but I wouldn't hold Darko to too high of expectations. I loved the trade, but it's not like we added Marcus Camby up front. He's still a young player that may be able to contribute something, but thus far he hasn't even made it as an average starter.

Harrington could be shipped out anytime, and is still going to make some boneheaded moves in the mean time, but overall, I agree, it's nice to see some balance on the roster. We still have a long way to go, but things are starting to take shape. If we can get a healthy Gallo, and Curry plays himself into shape (and out of NY), this will be a successful season, IMO.

Is AK47 still available? What would it take?

It would require sacrificing the 2010 plan for a player coming off a few bad years at perhaps our team's strongest position.

Adding 2 6'10 guys and a healthy Curry (for all his flaws) is a major upgrade over what we had last year. We were just outmanned and outsized up front for so much of the year. I think we stand pat right now with our forwards, even if we happen to lose Lee (which I don't think will happen).

How can you possibly say that what you put down there is a good front court?

Now, I'm pretty AllanFan'd right now, but what are you excited about there?

Harrington - Hill - Darko

ok...

Now try matching that up against the other teams in the East and see who we're better than and who we're worse than.

Boston - No
Philly - No
Orlando - No
Atlanta - No
Detroit - No

should I go on?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

LOL, Atlanta? Detroit with Sheed gone? As far as Philly goes, I have no idea if Brand is even wanted back there or what is health is.

Boston and Orlando are the only front court in the east that would scare me. I wouldn't even put the Cavs in there with Shaq.

Who does Detroit have up front? Aren't Wallace, Maxiell and McDyess are free agents? Wallace and McDyess are getting old and Maxiell hasn't done that well. So besides Prince, that doesn't leave them with much up front. Detroit will/should have a fire sale and start from scratch.

If Lee is let go...

Darko
Harrington
Chandler
Hughes
Duhon

...I see zero reason why this changes.

If Lee is here then Lee starts at C in front of Darko.

I know some of us are trying to pencil in:

Darko
Hill
Gallo
Chandler
Duhon

Yet, we have to be realistic, that simply isn't going to happen unless some major trades are made (no more lee and harrington for example).

The balance is definately there though...all things would have to come together and all signs point to that being the case...

There has been reports that Darko doesn't like the NBA lifestyle. Maybe its cuz he was hurt and playing for Memphis. His talent is still there...he's only 23...and now he has a coach that can see the positives in players and get guys to produce. Plus he's in contract year or the biggest stage. His family and peers are watching him...He's gonna bring it.

Curry is another one...the dude is desperate. He knows he has to get in shape in order to continue to make close to the salary he makes now. He has money issues. I think he knows its do or die time. I expect Eddy Curry to come in suprisingly ready. Not even D'antoni believes what I'm typing but you gotta have hope.

Jordan Hill will contribute right away...you won't see him averaging 20/10 in season one but i predict the dude will be give the Knicks something starteresque like 11/8 with a block where he progressively gets better as the year goes on.

Add Harrington who is a proven 20pt scorer and he will forever have that confidence.

Gallo will be in the mix and playing at a high level this year. That to me is a given. The kid showed he isn't afraid to play the game...and he was hurt. I think that pain he was feeling is a distant memory and this kid is gonna make us call his name like Beyonce at the Wamu theater...

Jared is a tard but if he was making 2 mill per instead of his bloated salary he would be looked at as a nice piece to throw around when needed. Though he thoroughly sucks contructacon balls...he is valuable in stints of relief...brief stints, lol.

Its very good...the toughness and defense takes an upgrade. Also the finishing on the inside and perimeter shooting from the big men improve greatly...They still aren't elite, but they sure as hell beat the crew the Knicks were putting out there last season.....

gotta dump Fishlips at the soonest opportunity... we should look to bring in some undrafted FA's into camp to take his role after the trade deadline next year... Curry's gotta show something too before we can count him as a productive factor in our frontcourt equation, but i definitely like the addition of Darko... he'll add a nice element of shotblocking that we desperately needed & he can knock down a midrange J... his attitude might be for crap but at the cost of just Q Rich u can deal w/this... also very excited to see Jordan Hill play in this system.

Whatever you guys are smoking, please save some for me.

Who has seen Curry? How do we know he doesn't still weigh 350? What happens if his knee persists in giving him trouble, even at a lower weight?

Are you willing to put money that Curry can keep his weight at 285? Because I think I'm happy to bet my life savings he can't - not for an entire season, and not without relying on diet medication.

Darko? Please, back from the edge. There is a reason Darko got dumped for Qarbage - there is a chance he might become a serviceable player with MDA as coach- but we're talking 5%.

And what exactly can we expect from Gallo? Again, I am willing to bet his back will be an issue this year. Not major like last year. But it might take him a full year to heal.

And Gallo is essentially a rookie.

Jordan Hill? A rookie? Please.

Jared Jefferies? I think most of us would be thrilled if he was dumped for nothing.

And yes, Harrington has a track record - he is as big a loser & chucker as Crawford. I don't think MDA wants him on this team.

Our front court sucks.

We may have turned the corner with Hill & Darko, but its just as likely those guys might be out of the league in 2-3 years.

I believe Walsh already stated he will not add 2010 salary so we are stuck with a pretty mediocre front court until 2010.
