I am watching SportsCenter right now and they showed highlights of the players that got traded. Vince, Shaq...Then the Darko deal came up. Fookers highlight on Darko was his shot getting blocked and/or missing layups. They had like 4-5 clips of him getting stuffed and or missing a layup. What the fark?

it's darko. you actually think they had highlights of him succeeding? he is a horrible player. seriously. i mean, it's amusing that we have him now and i hope he swears a lot in post game interviews but he is a joke. he can maybe block some shots for us.

The Knicks probably did the best they could considering a porous draft. Were there different routes--we wont know. The 2008 draft wiped out the list of big men and we got a guy who can run the floor rebound and has the ability to score with length. I think we have to wait and see what Hill looks like--after thinking on it---we didnt walk out in a horrible spot. I wouldnt view our draft at more than a B-. If you do look at match ups--if we take out early season games he didnt outplay Pendegraph Gibson Earl Clark etc..in fact he was somewhat overmatched against Louisville. For example at the same age Amare Stoudemire was scoring 40 points a game agaisnt the Spurs in the WCF when Hill was getting wrecked up by the Louisville Cardinals in the 2nd round of the nCAA's. Doesnt mean he will sck---doenst mean he will be great either.

You telling me that they can find a highlight clip for Jack Haley, whose only claim to fame was babysitter to Rodman, when traded or picked up by another team but they cannot find a highlight film for Darko?

He could be worse, he could have had his ass knocked around in a workout with a 2nd rounder and then cried about it in the locker room. Just saying.

That guy couldnt have got a better deal for himself. He went to a place where he was wanted and can develop. He's an absolute steal there. Ive read where the same team tried to move much farther up to get him. the GM who took him is probably top 3 in this league. Hes put together a pretty nice team quickly.

Darko is not melo so he will forever be dissed.

Since the cash considerations mean nothing to us, and Q's minutes go to Gallo and Wilson this trade gives us a mobile big who might up his game in the MDA system.

If he never gets off the bench he is not a bad addition. We have no downside. He expires.

i feel the same way about darko as i did curry, wilcox and hughes - i don't like these players at all and didn’t want them here, but if we got them then root like hell for them, and if and when they prove unrootable, then hate like hell on them till we get rid of them.

We have to deal with Darko for only one season.

Hey at least it's not like Jerome James who was locked in with us for 5 yrs but eventually got traded or cut.

One thing I am really nervous about is Darko looking for a long term deal. Darko looks like one of those kind of scrubs that will go really hard in a contract year so he can secure a long term deal, i.e. Carl Pavano, Erick Dampier, ext.

Darko is lazy, has a horrible attitude, and is just good enough to look decent on some nights. Hopefully the Knicks dont get conned, because I have a sneaking suspicion that they really like this guy and they are looking for any excuse to make him a part of their long term plans.

I doubt Walsh blindly does this. Especially after all of the cap reducing efforts the team has recently put in.

If the guy shows something this year and MDA reaches him in some way, you give him a contract = to what he gives you. If he does well but seems to want to much you let him walk.

If he is a scrub you let him go back to Serbia and the European leagues.

This could be his last chance in the NBA. You have to hope that MDA can get something out of him. I still feel that if he gives us the numbers he put up in Orlando, he is worth having on the team as a 20 MPG rotation player.

This trade was a no-brainer.
