What about Chris Wilcox? WHat do we do with him?? His contract has expired. Does he have any trade value? or do we keep him as a back-up PF if we trade David Lee?

Hill is the younger version of Wilcox. Both are 6'10"; Hill 226lbs (also listed as 235 lbs on Yahoo??) ; Wilcox listed at 235lbs. Both drafted 8th in their respective years. Dread-locks.

I should state that I am very happy with Hill's selection once Curry was gone.

I think we let Wilcox resign elsewhere... lets not confuse a few things here. 6'10 thats where the comparison ends. I'm not saying Jordan Hill is like Amare, but he definitely is a notch above Chris Wilcox in terms of potential and on court performance. Hill has a better motor, and is pretty active... he rarely disappears in games, and has a work ethic to get better year after year. Also Hill has dreads, and Wilcox has braids lol

Chris Wilcox is an enigma, he has talent as well... but something doesn't click with him. Wilcox should have been better as a NBA pro.

other than both of them being the same height who can run the floor & dunk the ball, they're really nothing a like... Hill plays w/so much more intensity & energy than Wilcox it's not even funny, not to mention Wilcox is not a good shotblocker at all.

That was the point. They have a similar game but Hill right now has all the potential in the world while Wilcox used to have that potential, but has somehow wasted it. That being said, he still would be a decent back-up to Hill but I am not sure where his (Wilcox') head is at? And if he can get his game and motivation back. If we are giving Darko a shot, do we give Wilcox one as well? Darko, for all of his original potential, has done worse than Wilcox.

If Wilcox comes for the minimum you keep him. If he goes over 2M then he goes elsewhere.

Remember, if we get Eddy looking decent for even a month you can bet Walsh can probably trade him. So we'd still need an insurance big and Sene sure as hell isn't it.

Still, I wouldn't be surprised to see Wilcox walk for nothing - OR - be a part of an S&T in July as he'd be a bit more than just filler salary in a trade. He has some value there. Just keep that in mind.

as soon as we got Darko, the need for Wilcox disappeared... we still have to give Fishlips minutes to try & raise his trade value & the same holds true for Fat Eddy... forget about Wilcox, he was useless to us anyway, & never really had any future on this team.

I guess I always hoped he'd get it together. Always rooted for him. Don't know why. Always liked the potential of the Wilcox/Melvin Ely duo when they first enetered the league.

Meanwhile, don't downplay the value of an nba caliber practice dummy either. And, as I said, the value of S&T'ing someone like Wilcox who isn't a complete bum to help grease the wheels of a trade.

Throw in a resigned Wilcox on a Jeffries or Curry deal you never know if it's what the other team wants to see to make a deal.

He's still valuable to us on those accounts.

OK....I do get it and do know the difference! I should have said long, flying hair as they run the court.

In any case, and no matter who he may or may not resemble, I am very happy with the Hill pick. And I would want to keep Wilcox if he would sign with the Knicks, but I don't think he will. I believe he is an unrestricted FA.

Hairstyle is very important for the team... But we need mode diversity.
Like somebody with Nash hairstyle... maybe Nash himself. Who has his hairstyle in the NBA anyways?
