He has gotten better with every minute played tonight. Lets retire the 'Frank Williams will turn heads' thread and just say he is turning heads....especially of the opponents. Too bad the Spree vs NY game overshadowed his performance and he didn't get much press.

Chaney definatly believes in Frank and is not afraid to play him in the 4th. That was a nice sign of his improved play. Also Frank has been taking it to the basket and finishing.

One has to wonder if Ward will be around after the buyout date if Frank continues his good play. Ward is playing well, but the Knicks could save over 10 Million dollars in salary and luxury tax money by releasing him. Thoughts?

All the ridicule I have recevied from postas saying I don't know what i'm talking about and now here you go "Let's retire Frank Turning heads thread" that actualy showed I called that months ago. Well, all your gonna do know is repeat some of what was previously posted.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I would like to see Shandon Anderson and F. Williams start if (A.HOUSTON) is still has a sore at season opener. Shandon will show how much of an athletic slasher he can be by finishing with authority. "WORD ON THE STREET" has it a lot of knicks players are coming to camp in shape and ready to work hard for Chaney this season to set the tone for the young players to adapt to.

Frank williams just might end up knicks starting point guard after pre-season. Hopefully he gets the jitters out by then, he used to "TRIM" Ward and Eisley in practice but was to timid and out of shape to do it in actual games

Frank Williams beleives in himself now, the deal is he's not a rookie anymore he can benefit from playing with season vets on knicks roster to produce as an assist man and scorer when needed.

The two guys that will have stellar seasons this yr compared from last yr, F.Williams and Shandon Anderson. Anderson and Williams on the break will be "EPIC" this yr.

playa...the reason I started this thread was so we could start focusing on Frank Williams and not who said what during the preseason. Yes, you believed all along in Frank and are commended for that, but how many ways and times can you say I told you so?

Posters ridiculed you, and now you are doing the same...so it makes you no better than them.

How about responding to this post with some basketball opinions on why Frank is playing better and what to do about Charlie Ward?

Everyone should also realize that Frank's former college coach from Illinois Lon Kruger is on the Knicks coaching staff.

I don't know if you guys remember the Big Ten college division but Frank was no joke of a PG. He played very well in one of the toughest division in college especially defensively.

Unfortunately, last yr was a setback due to the writs injury he had sustained but during the summer league over the past summer, Frank improved heavily. Im glad he's given the opportunity to show how he can really play the game.

I was being real critical of How Chaney was running things by not playing Mutumbo, Frank Williams not getting enough minutes and Sweetney not able to crack the rotation. 1 out of 3 isn't too bad..

Shandon showed us last year he can be an athletic slasher. Do you not recall the dunk on Gerald Wallace?

And who else is gonna start in place of Houston? Shandon is the only possible candidate. It ain't rocket science.

I agree, but it doesn't take much brainpower to realise that now he's not a rookie, he's gonna have a little more confidence.

Shandon Anderson: 25 mpg, 8 ppg, 2 rpg, 1 apg, 1 tpg, 41% shooting.

Frank Williams: 12 mpg, 3 ppg, 1 rpg, 2 apg, 1 tpg, 34% shooting.

Please don't tell me you think these numbers are stellar.

No doubt, compared to last year, they're doing better.

And I too have high hopes for Williams. He is showing some nice signs this season, his handle seems to be more under control, and his passes more precise. He just seems to have a better feel of things, which can be expected as this is his second year. No more "rookie" excuses.

Right now the future Knick PG combo of Milos/Frank seems very promising. And IMO we should say farewell to Ward and save some money.

BUT, playa, why you feel the need to bring up all these old quotes by your good self, I do not know. They don't even say much. They're from sensational and groundbreaking. And saying "I told you so" here is pretty pathetic, so just drop it.
We suck.

Another hater showing his azz. These stats aren't based on our current winning straek and in the actual games Frank has dominated who ever has tried to keep him out the paint. Anderson stats will actually decrease since Houston is back. Why didn't ya punk azz bring up Frank and Shandon stats the last 3 games? They did win ya know.
