In the biggest media market in the world - why is our sports coverage so sheety?

SNY does a great job with the Mets and Jets.

Yes is what it is for the Yanks.

MSG is friggin' terrible. There's no offseason Knicks coverage. No draft preview. No sports news. Its terrible.

There's no Giants coverage on any network and they have by far a bigger fan base than the Jets.

I can't believe YES and MSG aren't fighting over themselves to cover the Giants.

If I were running MSG, I'd go back to the old SportsDesk. Have a weekly Giants show. Have a weekly BigEast basketball show to talk about recruiting, coaching moves, etc.

Cablevision cut back on costs and eliminated a lot of sport news programs. That's why you get reruns of top 50 Knick and Rangers memories and stuff like that. MSG used to cover the Giants but as I stated Cablevision cut back on their entertainment programs.

There was no reason to just fold to SNY at the time. I don't get it.

How much does it cost to produce "Jets Nation"? You wouldn't make that back in ad revenue if you had a Giants show like that?

They put crappy big-east shows on there, but even if you just had a show that focused on SU, UConn, Nova, StJohns, Prov, and Seton Hall I think you'd pull a lot of viewers.

Makes no sense to me. Just another reason to hate Cablevision.

The Jets, Mets, Giants, Yankees, and Rangers have had earned good things at some point over the last 10 years. The IT regime threw off a lot of fans for the Knicks.

Cablevision overrall is cutting cost. Check the economy. Knicks are making a lot of money still.
