Speculation is that the Pistons will make a big push to sign unrestricted free-agent Ben Gordon this off-season.

Despite being cautious about adding salary in 2010, the Knicks will reportedly pursue Gordon as well.

Everybody keeps saying the Knicks are interested in Gordon. Its a little bit of an NY sportswriter fantasy. I can see us liking him for our style of ball, but I just don't see it happening from a practical standpoint. I think everyone realizes that he's not the player you're gonna try to jeapordize the balancing of your fiscal position for.

Yep, I agree. I don't believe Walsh will hurt his cap position for someone like Gordon. He is after a much bigger fish.

IF we are going to go after a big name FA this yr, I'd rather the Knicks give offers to guys like Ron Ron or Birdman.

We're not strong enough for Ron Ron, he will break our chemistry up. Birdman is on borrowed time from his 'difficult' years. Gordon is going to want too much money for what he offers- a glorified Crawford..though he would be an awesome closer. I just think he thinks that he is better than he is.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Gordon's very good at what he does, but that's all he does. He's never shot under 40% from three point range in any season since coming into the nba. If he could learn to play good d, I'd be more interested.

Gordon fits the Knicks....he's a clutch guy and he's from the area...the loonie dude wants Lebron James money, lol. Are the Knicks willing to pay the dude? Is he a second fiddle on a championship team?

I'm down to bringing in whoever as long as they aren't grossly over paid and they produce. Gordon actually fills a huge need @ shooting guard.

IMHO this is probably an agent blowing smoke up our asses.

July 1st will be here soon enough.

S&T where we send them Curry or JJ - thus mitigating some the impact on 2010?

Gordon puts up 30 pts next year and Lebron thinks we have a legit second option that he's been missing in Cleveland?

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think they'll take Curry. Maybe a sign and trade involving Lee and Gordon might work. Neither one plays much d, so we don't lose defensively.

I would hope so. Gordon is an upgrade to Crawford and not much more. He has his fair share of 2-13 and 3-19 nights from the field. Honestly, no thanks to players who do this, as we need stability in our lineup. I am tired of watching the team rise and fall born on the shooting percentage of their top gunner. Be it Crawford....and now Harrington...then Gordon? No thanks. We need consistent players, not players who go 10-12 and then 2-12 and then 8-9 and then 3-13 and then tout a good "average".
