He's a good player. Big strong and athletic 3-4 with good explosion and ball skills --really came on last half of the year. He definitely has one of the higher ceilings in the draft.

James Johnson is pretty much a point forward. He's good at handling the ball and could probably initiate the offense on the second team. he could be good on the right team... one that has a back up point guard but thinks it needs some insurance and also has perimeter scoring. If you need a SF to score look at a guy like Earl Clark instead. But if you want some versatility he could be an effective piece. The one thing I dislike about him is that Aminu, Johnson, and Teague were being promoted as top flight talents throughout the season and they were terrible come tournament time.

I like the Rogers comparison. Unfortunately Rodney got himself more and more out of shape and in love with the 3 over time, but coming out of college I can see the comp.

Id rather have James Johnson than Jrue Holiday if we are going to stay at 8 and the board doesnt go our way. IF we are looking at a productive player at 8 wouldnt he be more of a fit and give us additional athletic size? Why cant we pick up a later pick and grab a PG later? If Mullens and Drozan drop into the low mid teens--than Jru Holiday should be joining them. I cant understand if teams want to see more production in higher picked players. If we feel a guy has more upside yeta longer waiting time--I think we trade back for them.

I don't think the Knicks have done a far reaching due diligence--did we even work out James Johnson or Earl Clark once? We are a pretty small team.

Briggs has been on the edge lately.

I like him alot. Reminds me of David West... maybe a bit more athletic. He's only listed at 6'8 but has the 7 foot wingspan. Would be a good fit. He's a banger and a physical guy. I like his game a lot. Team guy. That would be a good safe pick at 8 and let us move Lee in some kind of S&T

Really? I'm not a big fan... I think it would be a mistake to draft any of the Wake Forest guys

I am pretty sure that Clark came in- not sure about Johnson.

So if we had james it would be like when anthony mason was our point forward
