WEST PEORIA —

A former Big Ten Conference men's basketball MVP and a younger brother were arrested about 11:25 a.m. Wednesday after Multi-County Narcotics Enforcement Group agents seized 78 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and a .40-caliber handgun at the younger brother's residence.

Frank L. Williams, 29, of Vernon Hills was taken to Peoria County Jail and booked on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Aaron D. Williams, 24, of 106 N. Cedar Ave. also was taken to Peoria County Jail and booked on charges of unlawful possession and not having a firearm owner's identification card.

The elder Williams played this past season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League, where he averaged 17.3 points and 3.6 assists in 47 games.

Frank Williams, who was voted Mr. Basketball of Illinois as a Manual High School senior in 1998, went on to play three seasons at the University of Illinois. He was 2001 Big Ten MVP as a sophomore.

Frank Williams was a first-round pick in the 2002 NBA draft. He was a member of the New York Knicks in 2002-03 and '03-04 and spent the '04-05 season with the Chicago Bulls. He continues to reside in the Chicago suburb of Vernon Hills.

The younger Williams also played basketball at Manual as well Lincoln College and Chicago State

What's the avg salary in the NBDL??? I thought it was close to a 100k

My understanding is that he is sells it at a discounted price to poor people who need it for medicinal purposes.

For those that do not have an NBA contract I think it is around 25 - 40K a year.
