Anyone have the scoop?

Seems like he has had a few positive workouts and one negative so far--expected from a young 7 footer.

Late night sports shows have been absolute TRASH regarding the workouts. It's pathetic. There is ZERO footage/coverage of it other than some numbnuts sportscaster's take on any player we worked out. I don't get it...I thought Donnie was making the Knicks more accessible to us. Apparently not for whatever reason - afraid someone might watch a 30 second SNY clip of today's events and steal our pick LOL????? ShakeMyHead

Is there any kind of strategic reason for keeping your workouts private. Even if you don't have cameras running, you could at least have reporters able to sit, watch, and digest what they see in the workout.

the workouts have been private, that's why the press doesn't know anything.

they've only been able to interview the players and then get what they can from that.

i don't see why the workouts have to be public.

only a few teams like the Kings and Bobcats have been more open. Most teams don't have the workouts public.

There absolutely is a reason. Reporters could report an outstanding workout...say for example if Holiday blew away Curry and that would tip off other teams to the fact that the Knicks may lean towards drafting one player or another.

I know the press is not allowed to watch- I just wonder why they are not allowed to watch and report from a distance without any film running. And why would certain teams allow more access?

Didn't Obama talk about more transparency during the election? And isn't he a basketball fan? Maybe he could look into the pre-draft workout system so the public can be more informed. He's spending too much time trying to dig us out of Bush's economic legacy- what about our sports?

Just frustrating when you can't even read a reporter's observations on how some guys are playing- you have to read between the lines of interviews they do with the prospects themselves.
