![]() Strictly going to be for work. When does Windows 7 come out? That seems to be the real deal, do all the techies in here agree? All I really need is Outlook 07 on the computer, for it to run fast, and be reliable. I don't really want to spend more than 1k.
I like this HP. http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-G60-230US-16-0-Inch-Laptop/dp/B001NPDKUI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1244190383&sr=8-1 Any recommendations from people who know more about this than I do? Help is appreciated both here and for ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i guess it should've been "laptop PC". [Edited by - bigsm00th on 06-05-2009 01:31 AM] #Knickstaps

![]() Thats an ok laptop for the price. Do you want the large screen? If so, thats a good deal. Look into Netbooks or something like http://bensbargains.net/deal/103489/ which is a faster machine with a smaller screen.
Windows 7 is not as resource intensive but it is also incredibly mature. It has a larger driver database out of the box. With Vista, often times you will need to connect to the internet and download SP2. If you can, wait till Windows 7 is announced. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
