"What we're hearing especially is there are a lot of teams that have interest in buying picks toward the end of the first round," Kahn said. "I think you'll see a lot of that."

We need a C so badly--I hope that we can find a pick between 15-20 that Mullens would fall to--we would not regret the pick or the investment long term.

Briggs, I've fallen out of love with Mullens. He looks about as soft as they come the more I see of him.

He says OSU messed him up because they wanted him to play with his back to the basket. Come on. Sounds like another big that we already have on the roster who loves to make excuses and can only score when the guards gift-wrap a basket for him.

I'd rather go with Lawal late in the draft if we're trying to pick up a center with Minny's late slot.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

If we can buy an extra pick later in the draft, I have no problems with Mullens. He's more of a high risk, high reward player, and if he pans out, then we're in good position. I'm just not ready to spend the #8 pick on him.

--To me that implies that there are more potential buyers of picks than sellers... teams will be interested in playing guys on rookie contracts as opposed to high-priced veterans. I really don't think teams will straight up sell picks this year

it's go great to see everyone using dj's Official Draft thread.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

At this point, I don't really think it's an issue. There's hardly any other Knick news besides Wilson getting surgery and Donnie visiting Curry and Curry saying "He thought I'm doing well."

Might as well make different threads as opposed to one enormous thread. It would be easier too.

Yes- but it might also be the case that Minny's GM is trying to drum up demand/price by saying there is a lot of demand out there.

And it might be the first time the Knicks have inquired about paying cash for a pick.

And it might also be a factor that cash rich teams (Portland, Knicks, etc) are seeing blood in the water with some smaller market teams hurting - and there are a few of them that have multiple picks in this draft.

I am a guy thats been very hard on Thabeet but when I look at his work ethic and how far along he has come and the style of play we run I would move up to get him and be willing to give up a lot.

I think showing the ability to hit the 12-15 foot jumper in the flow of the offense makes Thabeet a must target for the Knicks.

MDA will have to find a way to protect him in the half court because he cant guard real post players (yet) but the other things he brings cant be denied
