The Raptors are privately acknowledging for the first time that they might need to trade Chris Bosh, rather than risk losing him to free agency in 2010, according to a report from the New York Daily News.

The Bulls remain interested in Bosh, but Luol Deng would have to be part of a package going to the Raptors.

Bosh could also end up in Detroit in a package that would net the Raptors Carlos Boozer, according to the report.

i am really sad at what passes as an article these days.

of course the raptors will listen to everybody about bosh - he's a free agent and he might not sign.

with that said, he will let colangelo know what his plans are. this won't be one of those lebron/wade things. if you notice, only those 2 knuckleheads are the totally unprofessional ones talking about playing in any other city or with other players. and they will probably drag it out till the last minute disrespecting their current team and fanbase. bosh hasn't said one thing about it (just like he hasn't responded to all the knocks he's been getting from other pf's/c's in the league).

if bosh doesn't want to stay, that's cool - no skin off the raptors back - colangelo will just have to find the best deal for him. raptors are playing behind everyone else b/c no US player wants to play there...

Agree with you on the whole what passes as an article thing. With blogs being the fad nowadays, it seems that most information gets posted as second, third and fourth hand.

Who knows.

In an interview with La Gazetta dello Sport from Treviso, Italy, Andrea Bargnani said he is encouraged the Raptors decided to make Jay Triano the head coach, and not too disappointed that Sam Mitchell was shown the door.

"As a coach, everyone in the team likes him, unlike Mitchell, and he earned the respect of all the players right from Day 1," Bargnani said. "That's why we asked [Raptors president Bryan Colangelo] to confirm him. And he agreed, because he's the right man to start over with."

Bargnani is worried that assistant GM Maurizio Gherardini might leave the Raptors. Gherardini is in the final year of a three-season deal with the club.

"I would be really sorry to see him go, because we've played together for seven years," Bargnani said in the interview. "I hope he doesn't leave, though I don't know what he'll decide."

As DJ would say.. Bargs is gangsta.

I think the warriors could get him with a randolf, belleni, draft selection package with a filler player. That is a tremendous deal for them.

Get cap room and a few nice prospects

Yeah Bargs is right, he did a great job getting the team into the playoffs unlike Mitchell. Oh wait...
