The Knicks used to battle Zo and the Heat yearly?

So sad to see Zo go out like this...

guy was a warrior. not as good as pat, but he tried.

man... this is bad. can you believe that KMart and Jefferson were laughing at Zo and his Kidney disease? NO CLASS. At least those guys dont play for NY, it would be horrible to have players like that.

Dont like Kenyon and I hate Jefferson and even though I didn't like Zo too much either its too bad it has to end like this.

IMHO he should have never came back , dude has a family and beautiful wife and he went this far to risk it all.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Shows you the passion Mourning had for the game... and what he was trying to impart to Martin, and the Nets.

That's the thing the NBA lacks nowadays... passionate players. Guys with fire, guys who really compete. Not showboats like Kobe. Or whiners like McGrady. Or Softies like Van Horn.

Warriors like Zo and Ewing.

Case, man... you said it. Let's make a list of the few 'Warriors' left in the league.

By Warriors, I think you mean players who hunger to win, who understand the effort winning demands, and exert it every time they step on the floor. They don't have to be perfect, but they're imperfections were never a result of a lack of effort.

Malone-- never stops improving his game, even 17 years in.
Garnett
Iverson
P.J. Brown
Rip Hamilton
Sam Cassell
Charlie Ward
Robert Horry
Tyrone Hill
Peja

Oh man, you said it brotha. Especially on this team. Zo had more nuts than ANYONE on this squad. I am glad to see that some fans out there still know what a warrior is.

IMO Zo would make a good coach one day...

Ben Wallace should be there. A few other guys, but it's rare now...

I don't know if Rip Hamilton or Peja are "warriors"...

Hmm...maybe not Peja...Can Sheed be a nut AND a warrior simultaneously?

ANd since we're giving props to the enemy, add Reggie to the list.

In that case, does Tim Hardaway make the list too?

Peja? Rip? You gotta be kidding.

And Rasheed is mos def not a warrior. If he was a warrior he would cocentrate on scoring the damn ball and grabbing a few more rebounds before calling out refs and chilling behind the 3-point arc.

I think Kobe is a warrior, though. The guy is always out there playing, through injuries, viruses and now a rape case. He plays hard every game. He loves to play. Don't let his flashy dunks or ****y demeanor cloud the fact that he is one of the greatest competitors in the NBA, who loves to win and hates to lose, and is always working on his game.

Another warrior is of course, Ben Wallace. What he lacks in size and talent, he makes up for with heart and hustle.

Chauncey Billups and Eric Snow are a couple more to add to the list.
We suck.

Oh wow...

Even though I can't stand his ass as a Knicks fan, Michael Jordan has to be added to the list. Yeah he's retired, but he's worth an honorable mention.

Also, Sheed is tough. If you can excuse Kobe for his faults, then Sheed gets a pass too.

I may have misspoke, adding Peja and Rip. But I was going through the NBA alphabetical roster, and they seemed like good picks at the the time.

Ben Wallace is just tough. He's big and his game is nasty. But I don't think you can call him a warrior, cause he's yet to battle for anything significant besides a rebound title. Though it seems he is taking his game to another level this year, and that's a good start.

Peja is a fighter, though. To some extent, a warrior is one who keeps battling to the end. How many times have you seen Peja hit a big jumpshot when his team needed it most? He's got fire in him-- but is he a warrior? I'll stand by my first impulse.

Rip Hamilton is another guy who plays with fire and pride. No quit in him, on either end of the floor.

Let's add Bobby Jackson and Paul Pierce to the list. But the most glaring omission ... Tim Duncan. I know a lot of guys don't like his game because its got no flair, and he doesn't seem like your classic warrior because he doesn't go out of his way to challenge people, but you know he doesn't back down either. And you can't be as good and as consistent as he is w/o heart. Just win, baby.

Kevin Garnett has to be taken out of that list. Until he has taken his team out of the 1st round he will never get my respect. He is nothing more than an ESPN SportCenter hi-light.

When we played the Wolves last week he was dominant in the 1st 3 quarters then in the 4th he stopped asking for the ball. Clyde even noticed it and started calling him out.
