New York trades: Eddy Curry, Quentin Richardson/someone in similar salary and contract length, #8 pick

Charlotte trades: Boris Diaw, Raja Bell, #12 pick

I think this isn't too realistic but I also read Larry Brown loves Stephen Curry. Would he be willing to take on fat boy to do the deal? And before anyone says "oh we don't lose salary and just move down in draft order", well Diaw is a hell of a lot more productive and tradeable than Eddy Curry. Raja Bell is still good from downtown and we don't lose much in this weak draft by going down 4 drafts. 3-15 is basically the same talent.

Would you guys make this trade?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I coulda sworn we talked about this trade before....right now I don't think the Knicks could do a trade like this....

But....

Diaw and Raja played extreamly well for D'antoni plus both guys have been through the wars of the playoffs and bring plenty of intangibles.....example Raja will close line a mofo, hip check, pull shorts, trash talk, flop, take charges, protect his teamates, etc......Diaw will do everything on the court and he proved a little in Charlotte that he can assert himself on offense....

Now my idea for them would be to have both players apart of the fabric of the team...they could start right away but their value is off the bench possible spelling Gallo and Wilson at the 3-2....Diaw could see time at the 4-5 as well.

Would I do the trade? Hell mutha****ing yeah!!! Would Charlotte do it? I think between Jordan and Brown they both have enough faith in the kid. Brown wants a pivot....he tried to put Curry in that position as a Knick calling him the franchise....Curry/okafor gives Brown is muscle inside along with Gerald.

The Key for me would be to try and flip Al Harrington after a trade like this....

With that said....I'd go to war with a team like this:

Pf: harrington/Diaw
Sf: Wilson/Gallo
c : free agent???/Jared
Pg: Stephan Curry/Duhon
Sg: Hughes/Raja

Did I include Nate and Lee??? Nope! Their spots are already filled....Add say that center from Orlando or whoever else we mentioned on this board at center.....tell me that this team couldn't out play the current team????

If curry produces the temptation to keep him will be there also. If Curry somehow produces 20-9. Do you think the KNicks will trade him? I personally think that the Knicks would think hard about keeping him around. Just like people want to keep Lee around.

I don't do this trade because with our roster, we need the best possible pick. So I stay with what I have and take Curry/DeRozan/Holiday or whoever at #8.

If we were a first or second round team, I might pull the trigger. With those circumstances, a Raja Bell kind of player would be valuable in the postseason. He'd be our version of a Robert Horry or a James Posey.

Some players are good in any system. Some are good in certain systems/situations.

i don't do that trade... i think we might possibly have an opportunity to trade up to #5, i'd pursue that route first before making any trades to move down.

There is no difference between 5 and 8.

there's a huge difference... at #5 u can draft a potential franchise changing player like Derozan... at #8 you're looking at undersized SG's like Curry or Holiday, who may grow into nice players but don't carry that superstar potential.

The only franchise guy in this draft is Griffin IMO. Everything else is a crapshoot.

If the front office leaked that they were going to take Buddinger with 12 yes. But I still am hesitant. I am the eternal optimist with Curry and I hope that he overcomes his weight and emotional issues and has a great season next year.
