He is 6-5 221 pounds with a 7 foot wingspan[not exactly the J Crawford comparison you gave]---there is no doubt in my mind he is top 5 and also already promised above us to someone

wow... 30 pound gain in 3-4 months right before the draft. Someone might want to test him for roids.

I don't think we are getting Curry--and I still think the absolute best plan of action is take Tyreke Evans 8 and do what we can to get a second pick for B J Mullens. It might not be the most popular plan with some people here--but I think it's the best plan--I really do. If Curry and Evans are gone--I think I would be concentrating on trading down and getting rid of Jefferies.

I *would* be willing to MOVE up to get EITHER Evans or Curry if the price is right with Washington.

To me Tyere is one of the most ready players in this draft--when they moved him to PG at Memphis they won 25 games in a row and while he is not a pure PG--hes easily the BP possibly available at 8 or maybe even 5--and what do we need most? Good players.

Jordan Hill Holiday or whoever else--these guys arent in Evans class. Evans is a legit 6-5+ 221 with long arms and a great handle

I think use just have to use common sense some times when doing these things . To me Evans --after watching that Memphis Mizz game cemented in my mind just how good this kid could be in up tempo.
If people dont like him because he is not a pure PG--the Knicks should take advantage of him being the best player BY FAR who could be available at 8 or possibly 5. And it will become APPARENT right away--day 1 SL just how good Tyreke Evans is.
And using common sense I go to Mullens next--if everyone thinks this draft scks---lets do what we can to get this kid with a second draft pick. Im not worried about developmental time--Im focused on talent--this is a 7-1 260 athletic C who can run the floor with some xcellent offensive skills who can play off the bench NOW--I don't want a 6-9 215 pound pseudo C--I want a C after 10 frikin years.

Id be a buyer in this draft if I could get what I wanted--if I could get Evans Mullens and Derrick Brown--to me I think we wouldve had a coup. Id spend the money if Im the Knicks.

Take it for whatever it's worth..
According to Marc Berman, the Knicks have narrowed their point-guard draft board to Stephen Curry, Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday, in that order.

Jordan Hill would also be considered if he drops to the Knicks' 8th pick.

Yeah but we may not get him at 8. If we want this draft to be successful we need to get to 5 if at all possible--otherwise I would seriously consider talking to Chicago about taking Jefferies and picks 16+26

Evans may be a good pick, but isn't he more of a 2 than a point?

I am warming to the idea of Evans because you could play him with Nate and let them switch on defense. Nate is probably our best perimeter scorer and I would like to keep him in a sixth man role, but due to his size, it is had to play him with another pg. If you draft Evans, assuming Evans can actually run the team, you can allow Nate to play SG and ledt Evans handle the pg duties.

The way Tyreke Evans is now shooting the ball--he is CLEARLY the second best pick in this draft. You are talking about a player who is just a slight bit of athletic ability away from a guy who can be a franchise type 2 guard who can also play 1--AND his long arms running speed and handle make up for the slight lack in vertical jump.

This is a guy who shot over 45% despite 27% shooting--yet you can clearly see his jump shot has improved 5 fold in a very short timeframe. You will be getting the defense with this guy and not necessarily so with Curry. You could have a backcourt of Chandler and Evans and that is an absolute mismatch nightmare for any team in the NBA to contend with. Tyreke Evans all the way folks let it be.

I don't know how to classify Evans. On one hand, he just screams tweener. On the other, he is built like a truck and the last Memphis guard to be built like that and play SIGNIFICANTLY better in the pros than Memphis was, well, Derrick Rose.

There's no way to definitively call him the second best player in this draft... he's more physically gifted than many of the draft prospects. So him being worked out against points and shooting over them doesn't hold as much weight to me... that said, it appears the kid has more polish than he got to show off in the NCAA

I'm still not enamored with Evans but he's now on my list of acceptable Knicks picks: Curry, Evans, Flynn (in no particular order)

Id primarily play him at PG and shift him over and play 3 guard sets. This is just a very good player--the difference between him and the other PGs is his body, He's a 19 year old 6-5 221+ PG. Is he a perfect PG? No but hes the second best player in the draft.

Rubio is the # 2 player in the draft & lets revist that statement in a few years.
