Trade the 8th pick in the draft to Minnesota for their number one pick next year and this years 18th pick. You can get a mills or a Mullins with that pick and have one for next years draft.

WHY? Why panic at this point when you really don't know how things will shake out. We might be able to get a 1st rd. pick from someone later this next season. I think there's good value in this draft, just not a lot of superstars at the top.

if Derozan's off the board i'm all for that idea... Minny's pick next year could be top 5 & there's gonna be some nice prospects in that draft.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

If they're down, I would do it in a heartbeat.

with our luck, minny would go on to be a 4th seed or something next year

Im not looking to get fancy. I would go point blank like this

Just take Mullens pick 8

I think we can offer to buy either pick 18 or 20 if he is there--not a pure PG but highly talented player who can replace Nate Robinson as sixth man and can play some 1. The difference between Teague and all of the other small guards is his explosive athleticism and speed + he is a legit 6-2

We walk out of the draft with a 5 and an explosive 6th man

The worst draft in twenty years? I doubt it. When you get a chance, take a look at the 2000 nba draft. The first player picked was Kenyon Martin. After him, the next best player was Michael Redd, who was drafted in the 2nd round. The only other player in that draft that made the all start team was Jamaal Magliore - who was a weak choice. No franchise players, two borderline all stars and a third undeserving all star.

This is quite honestly the first time I have ever agreed with King. The title of this topic is exactly how I feel. Trade the pick.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I don't think you trade the pick unless another team makes an incredible offer for the pick. I think there will be some very talented players available when the Knicks pick. My concern is that the Knicks are locked in on Curry and I think there will be better talent available at eight. I hate that the Knicks seem to have their pick set by the first week of June every year and I hope that is not the case this year. I think if the Knicks want to play it safe they should take Buddinger not Curry.

Thank you for saying something.

The Bogut/Marvin Williams draft sucked too.

I mean damn 20 years??? My 1st grade math skills says that's 1989. Give me a break.

Exactly, they were on the rise right be for al went down. He'll be back strong next year and i see them as a playoff contender easily. They will not be a lottery team next year

That assumes he means 20 years going backward. He could mean, like, 1999-2019. Or maybe 2009 - 2029.
