Nate Robinson is trying to find his way to Portland, but the feeling might not be reciprocated by the Blazers.

"Nate’s been telling people he doesn’t feel he’ll be around New York much longer," a source told Tommy Dee. "He wants Portland, he wants to go closer to home."

There is currently no interest from Portland in signing Robinson to an offer sheet, according to another source.

The Blazers are focusing their search on a veteran point guard.

Personally, Portland shouldn't touch him, he's the last thing they need.

I could see Sacramento offering him 5 yrs 25 million and put people in the seats.

Nate would be a good addition to a team that needs an offensive punch off the bench. People around here need to give the kid some respect regarding his talents as a 6th man. You put him on a good team as part of a strong bench and he's gonna be a very effective player.

He's been fun to watch. If he's not here next year I hope he does well wherever he ends up.

yea he's been fun on a losing team and i thank him for that. he will do good things on a good team, too, and especially with a little maturity. unfortunately that cant and wont be with us, so good luck to him.

Lets not forget that the Golden boy Brandon Roy is like best friends with Nate....they played at Washington together....if Roy has any pull with the franchise, he will put in a good word for Nate....

Now....check it!

Jerryl Bayless.....nuff said....give the Knicks this kid. Nate fits Portland cuz they lack a penitrator and Nate is one of the best in the world at it....he is a great shooter and he'd be awesome back with his boy Roy....

Send Nate...pick up pryz and bayless....I'd even swap picks. Bayless is going to be a star in this league but all he needs is starters minutes.

If the Knicks could get Bayless or Pryzbilla for Nate in a sign and trade I think you do it.

That actually sounds like a realistic deal. Would love to get their pick from them too, which I think is fair.

Nate is who Bayless wants to become in 3 years, so the 'Blazers should make the deal. Only difference is that Bayless is obviously bigger, so he has a higher ceiling.

if the Knicks do a sign and trade with nate and #8 for bayless, pryz and #24....the knicks could end up with a dude like Tyler Hansborough, lol!!! that means no more David Lee, lol...maybe you do a similiar deal and get more players and picks.

edit: all white front court in Tyler, Pryz and Gallo??? with Bayless and Wilson???

its gonna be a very interesting off-season...Knicks have alot of options.

Another player from Portland I'd be interested in is Rudy Fernandez. He quietly had a good rookie season, shooting 40% from behind the arc.

why wouldnt we match that? You have your backup PG and scorer off the bench. The guy does more than put on a show.

I would definitely do that, but with Oden's injury issues I can't see them getting rid of Pryzbilla but I would take on an expiring contract to make it work....

Maybe Bayless and Webster for Nate and use the pick on Mullens or trade up for Thabeet?

The one problem I have is Nate is the key for us to get rid of JJ2. I would really like to see something like this:

Nate, JJ2 for Bayless and DMiles contract(if possible).

Fish you see, people are just jaded about our own players. The constant he played on a losing team crap is getting tired, the last time I checked it was a team game. The guy is a great bench player and is very marketable (top 10 in jersey sales), we had no plan under the "he whose name I will not say" regime; so everyone suffered. When we had to depend on players such as Jeffries, Crawful, Curry(non factor really), N-Zo and a whole host of other scrubs how could we win. The dude can play and brings it every game, to me that's all that counts.

he'd be a good fit as 3rd guard in Portland.

Nate is alot better than Bayless.

Por offers a full mid deal, would Walsh alter the 2010 plan to retain Nate? I doubt it.

IMO as long as MDA is coaching, centers in the mold of a Pryzbilla will likely not be Knicks.

tommy dee is on a blogging tear since the season ended, maybe he was able to weasel a few connections in that time. nate to portland is good because we have completed deals with the blazers in the past and nate is fr om oregon, so it's natural.

I would do a S&T with Portland for Outlaw and their 1st rd pick or Outlaw and 2 of their 2nd rd picks (32 and 38 overall) for Special Nate. Outlaw gives us a log jam in the forward spot but he is an expiring contract.
